for the pharmaceutically inclined

Recommended Posts

I was having a browse on ebay and stumbled across this antique collection of pharmaceutical equipment and medicines up for sale. Amazing collection !

Most of the drugs still seem to be present in the bottles and jars.

How can this be legal

Can you imagine the various treasures that would be hidden amongst those bottles ? ebay link :drool2: :drool2: :drool2: :drool2: :drool2:

And its ONLY $ 155,000 ( check out the video on the ebay page for a visual run-down )

edit ( here is a link to the pictures which are even better )photos

Incredible. That's worth WAY more than $155K. It's the sort of collection that really should be kept together and aquired by a real museum. Would be a shame to see it all stuffed in someones shed, or parted out to Irish pub's.

Wow, that's an incredible collection. That really does belong in a museum, kept the way it is now and not pillaged for what's in the bottles. Incredible!

Depends if the oxygen was displaced with an inert gas upon packing and how well sealed they are.. And the reactivity of the particular molecule.. And what temperatures they've been kept at.. And if they've been exposed to sunlight :P

Damn!!!

what an amazing collection. :drool2:

its great to see a collection like that all together, but i would imagine in time it will probably get broken up.

for it to retain its value it would have to be purchased by the right person, or as mentioned i think in another post a museum, etc. who has the money and time to look after it.

Thanks for posting the link.

I hope the right owner comes forward to purchase it.

Cheers, Obtuse.

Im thinking of taking out a loan

All jokes aside though, i think it would actually be a good investment.

I agree with Alice that it is worth way more than asking price.

I want to have it setup out the back in a custom made shed.

Anyone want to go halves B) ?

Incredible. An investment in history. The only bottle that would end up going missing if I got my hands on that would be the Laundamun
