Ebay Mammillaria monstrose

Recommended Posts

So, I was browsing Ebay's cacti, procrastinating my assignment, not even actually in the market for cacti, when I came across this:

Mammillaria monstrose cv. Fred.

I looked it up and it's a cultivar of M. bocasana. Cactus-art has some good info on it. The diversity of the mutant forms of this species is incredible! Has to have some of the coolest looking monstrose and crested forms of any species.

Thought it might be of some interest to some of the freak fiends here.

Hah, I was just on ebay and saw that. It looks like a L.W. var. caespitosa in the thumbnail. I thought the same thing when I saw the thumbnail for this one: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CACTUS-TEPHROCACTUS-MANDRAGONA-/260844085673?pt=AU_Plants_Seeds_Bulbs&hash=item3cbb84e1a9 . I'm a n00b though, so I confuse things easily.
