he wants you too put bids up in the thread not PM

All good turkey,

I edited after posting as I had a few PMs asking what the price was, but I don't want to be greedy and thought i might aswell let the market decide. I suppose in hindsight i should have just put a price on them but after seeing a few TBMs going for crazy money I just don't know anymore!

i think bidding is a great idea! It becomes so hard when you get flooded with pm's and trying to figure out who was first and not just inquiring. Bidding would make it so much easier on everyone IMO.

i bid $12 for the Eileen

interesting concept with the auction, :)

when does it end?

for the T.Bridgesii starting the bidding at $15.

depending how high they go for I wouldn't mind all of them but don't want to be greedy just have nothing in my garden yet :)

And bush turkey i see your $12 and raise you to fifteen for eileen

is that a little bit of rot at the base of the TBM ?

tipz,

I would prefer the bridgies sold as a group but if you like a specific one then they are thus numbered 1,2 and 3 from left to right.

Yes The TBM has a stunted base section that has the remnants of rot at the tip. It is not spreading. I took the photo with it clearly in view to give a true indication of condition. I can chop it if peeps prefer but never lost a cactus to rot so have always just let them heal themselves.

jebus,

Auction ends Next Tuesday when I log on in the morning.

Hey Bongchitis you recon you could estimate delivery of the Bridgy seedlings to 2500 (Wollongong)... so I can factor the cost into the auction :)

alternatively is it possible to organise pickup?.... that is on the presumption I win of course...

hehe the anticipation is great ... :)

Hey jebus,

I am not sure as I havent packaged them up and don't know weights and volumes etc but no more than $10... and probably a fair bit less.

Actually I will put a cap on postage, If it is less then I will reimburse you, if it is more then lucky you.

TBM: $20 postage

Bridgies: $10

Eileen: $5

Cheers guys.......Bong

Bongchitis, thank you kindly for the info very reasonable.

Newbie question, when the cacti are "despined" are you cutting the spines or just pulling them out?

Thanks.

Yeah the only option for taking out spines that are not brand new is to cut them off, if you try to pull them out you will rip out the ariole and damage the plant. If the spines are mid growth and bright in colour (yellow or orange) you can pull them out easily.... well that is with Trichs anyway. Never saw the need to despine any other cacti.
