This isn't my track of the day, but track of my lifetime. If you asked me what I thought the best realized, lyrically masterful folk song of all time, it would be this. Gets me every time.

'And now I hear your master sing,

you kneel for him to come

his body is a golden string

that your body is hanging from'

or

And I think you're playing far too rough

for a lady who's been to the moon

and I've lain by this window long enough

you get used to an empty room

and your love is some dust

in an old man's cough

who is tapping his foot to a tune

How do you write a song like that?

i've never met homer simpson, i don't know homer simpson, i never bought his album , i pat my cat alot - just like a dog, she loves it but i did see this band live .......fwhoah

 

imagine meeting your baby next of kin that you've never ever met before, must have been radical
