pretty odd considering australia supplies the worlds largest amount of Hyoscine derived from this plant. I wonder where that plantation is?

The label on the australian product was wrong. There are no viable amounts of hyoscine in D.hopwoodii. The alkaloid is derived from D.myoporoides or rather a hybrid with leichhardtii.

All the plantations sell to one processor which supplies to one german company for manufacture. It is a highly protected and secretive industry. There are no Duboisia plantations in germany.

This species is indeed widespread in Australia with several different chemotypes existing only some of which were highly valued. Personally I beleive that more phytochemical research needs to be done on this most significant of Australian drug plants.
