Bongchitis Posted April 4, 2005 Nice link man, quite a few surprises for me on that list. It is obviously not policed to any degree except for imports and the odd commercial pot grower. Foxglove...hahahahaha, now everyone with a cottage garden is a criminal.
Rev Posted April 5, 2005 Well its only a list of what cant be put in a food product - not a prohibited plants list more of a worry than the obvious are the insidious eg traditional food and folk medicinal plants that are banned from inclusion examples Borage - flowers are edible Betel nut - used as a spice as well Wormseed - a mexican flavouring herb for beans to stop flatulence Symphytum officinale- comfrey - despite all eveidnec suggesting sits perfectly safe to eat Cannabis - seed and seed oils are edible
