folias
This is a very rare Acacia, which has not been commonly cultivated. A friend collected these ripe seeds and gave them to me for distrbution to the community. So I have quite a few seed pods here, and am willing to give away 30 seed pods - simply send me your address and I will send them off to you! Julian. Sola
Thanks folias, appreciate the generosity. Are there any specific propagation requirements? I usually soak in near boiling water. Sometimes treated with ash from fire. Sometimes, if the seeds are bigger, I'll nick them as well. But I guess if they're really rare there may not be a lot of info. folias
ok, that's it! no more seeds. I will likely send out little packets of seeds because the seed pods have broken open. I hope this effort gets this tree growing out there in the EB community! :-)Julian.

Never know if people are just being lazy, haven't had success, haven't tried or simply don't wish or haven't shared their progress for varying reasons. folias
Planthelper, That's awesome!Hey, I think that NOW may be the time for the seeds up there, I can't remember when they actually fruit. I haven't come into any more seeds, but it would be good if someone from the community could get onto this and get more of them out there. It might already be too late for seeds this year, I'm not sure!I think it is really important for this tree to understand human appreciation and nurturing.Julian.
folias
The good news is this tree seems to grow pretty much everywhere! I have seen decent specimens around Melbourne thriving!I have come into a few more seeds. I figure I can spare 10 lots of 5 seeds. I might come into more seeds later this year, but do send me a pm if you think you can give this incredible tree a nice place to grow!Btw, these seeds were collected from a very old cultivated specimen ;-)
