Cute! When I was a toddler my parents had a blue stumpy tail cattle dog called "gemma" she followed me everywhere as a toddler, I remember her as being this feminen motherly being, she was so gentle and motherly to me I remember her well, unfortunately she died when I was 9. I was inconsolable. She was a staunch guard dog as well though I never recognised that side of her at the time. When we lived in Sydney we where the only house on our street that had not been broken into. My neighbour now has two stumpy tail red cattle dogs, only a fool would jump their fence.

I love that scruffy :) reminds me of this scruffy old dog that "worked" at a big gravel pit. Used to get around all the big machinery and jump in the cabin with all the operators. He was most beloved amongst the big, burly workers and was referred to as "the boss"

I know this sounds like a disney movie, but my dog brought home a tiny kitten last night and has been looking after it all day like its the cats mother. ellie carries it around and puts it in the bed with her. I dont like cats but it looks like this one has moved in no matter what i think.

Aw, I've met Ellie and i can just imagine her with a kitten in her mouth. Some may think she was going to eat it?! Lol.

She will probably bring it to the front door to greet you when you get home like a present Hillbilly .lol. (Hillbilly will know what I'm talking about)

A photo would be great?!

Here's a picture of my nemesis dog. He cost nothing but I'd estimate that he's done about $5000 worth of damage to plants, pots, and anything else that can be chewed up. I ended up having to get an electric fence to keep him out of the garden and let him turn the rest of the yard into something resembling a construction site.

He's the smartest dog I've ever owned. I've recently trained him to respond to facial gestures. It started with a wink to make him sit and now he has several tricks like that in his repertoire.

I got him one of those buster cubes (to keep him occupied) and he worked out how to get the food out without chasing it around the yard, he used both his front paws and held it at the sweet spot and just rocked it back and forth until all the food fell out in about 30 seconds.

I had a Doberman a few years back that had the unfortunate habit of farting when it sat down, so I changed the command for sit from "Sit' to 'Fart' and hey presto I had a dog that could fart on command. All the guys I know were really impressed but not many of the ladies.

Yeah he's got a bit of Kelpie in him Amz. His father is Kelpie cross blue cattle dog and his mum is a golden retriever. He seemed to get all the genes that favour intelligence and all the ratbag genes too.

He was the only white pup from a litter where all the others looked like blue cattle dogs. When we were looking at the pups my son who was 2 at the time layed down on him and squeezed the crap out of him, like he was cuddling a teddy bear and the dog just turned his head and licked him on the face.

After seeing that, we knew he'd be good around the kids, we really didn't want an aggressive dog.
