SE QLD MEET??

Anyone keen?? Notice alot of SEQLD Members anyone keen for a day of seed collection at Mt Cootha?

Just throwing the idea around.......

Would be great to meet some fellow ethnobotanist in the flesh, trade a few cuttings, have a laugh, share some information, point out some interesting plants...check out the herbarium...etc

I haven't really committed to this but if there is enough interest i would be keen.

Maybe we can arrange this for during the September holidays 0_o ?

While i am on the topic of mt cootha gardens anyone wanna add to this thread any plants of interest and there location

I know the Cocoa tree is hardish to find, its in the giant glass house by the exit door.

Y'all can plan around me. I was gonna come. But yeah if it's a group thing just let me know and I won't be offended. Oh mount cootha is close-ish to me on the goldie but I have no car.

I'm interested as well...I'm up in the wide bay but I would be prepared to travel down for it...as long as it doesn't clash with my winning ticket to the Melbourne meet in the hiaku contest

So are we set for Mt.Coot-tha or can we try somewhere diferent this time around?

Obviously Im biased toward the Gold Coast but we do have some nice botanical gardens here or Springbrook would be pretty nice and the walking track that goes under the waterfall has been opened back up.

Just that all the 1day meets for the last 2yrs or so have been at Mt.Coot-tha, so it would be nice for a change.

I think Mt Cootha is a good halfway point for those who live on the north side of Brisbane and those that live south.

I'm an hour north of Brissie atm, but don't mind driving a little further if needs be....
