freebies?

i was there in the arvo in a pretty spectacular t shirt. bought some dried herb packets and a large gingko plant from the expensive stall, and got six pots for 10 bucks from the other stall (couldn't find 12 that i wanted but they had 12 for $15).

noticed yerba mate, Datura metel, i can't remember much else. i got lots of gotu kola, an aloe aborescens (aloe vera but more for external use and nicer form maybe), some other stuf i can't remember.

Freebies = free lemony gingery minty goodness drink, a heavy bag of mulch and some free seeds...

I saw that store with the 12 for $15 deal, but the free bag of mulch kinda limited me to what I could carry!

I did pick up a wormwood plant and a mullein plant though.

Yeah I also didn't make it there until the afternoon. I did go to the cooking a curry demonstration and tried the fish curry which was goood. There was also a very hot prawn curry which I wasn't game enough to try - (I accidentally bought some sort of pasta bake that was coated in chilli when I was in Germany and on a strict budget. I sat there for about half an hour eating it...), but I did take a photo of the prawn curry and then proceeded to laugh at the people who tried it when they were looking for water. :P

water doesn't ease a chilli burn.

i also looked at the bush food plants from the northey st display a bit too long and the guys there conned me into checking it out again (the gardens not the markets, altho probably both, been a while).

that drink was free? i handed them $1.50 after looking at the menu, and they accepted it! then i threw my cup away.

and i was THIRSTY too.
