mud Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) [/img] I just had to share this one. Will upload properly when connection allows. Now, I've spotted subs in the most ridiculous places. Near government political offices, under signs that say 'circus, haha. At 'royal' gardens. And now, breaking taboo- right under the number 13. It's as if, once you get the mushy logic you could start finding them based on thinking just like them. I knew they'd be somewhere obvious, but not too obvious. Somewhere only interested ppl may look. Voila, check out the local caravan park for woodship gardens! Edited June 9, 2010 by mud

Amazonian Posted June 9, 2010 I see a little patch of subs every week day whilst walking my kids to their classrooms. Right in everyones plain view in a garden bed inside the school ground. I snicker quietly to myself every time i go past .
matty Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) great shots, wish i had been carrying a camera around the last three weeks! 3 experiences hunting in two new places and one oldie but a goodie. its as if you think they might be there, there they will appear, first were great quality, and second two were just sheer abundance - no greedyiness just selective, would have made great photography! good luck and happy hunting. mud Posted June 11, 2010 (edited) Thanks for that Chiral Indeedily lucky:) A few more pics soon will show just how immense the flush was. Foaf says roughly 1.4 kilos wet came from only a couple of square metres. Ooh, and how nice to eat a few and meditate with the patch by candlelight! Distracted Posted June 13, 2010 I've made these pictures smaller than the others so they're easier to look at on the forums. How awesome is this foursome? I found this sub growing out of a tree trunk Mmmm Mushroom Dew I really like this pic.

crix Posted June 15, 2010 For those in Melbourne, is the season likely to go on much longer? When does it usually come to an end out this way (se suburbs)? Cheers
crix Posted June 15, 2010 A few tasties, albeit dry tasties, but its nice to find something nonetheless!
kindness Posted June 15, 2010 Don't think anyone has looked where I found them, Its got a thick forest canopy out west from here, its cold and damp and I actually got a little lost looking haha. It was weird I was just wandering along looking around not finding much and just decided to turn and walk in a direction into the forest and after about 3mins i walked straight into a bunch and the weird thing was I wandered all around after taking pics of them in the same area and found nothing else, it was like i hit the nail right on the head and it was a complete random spot, alot like how you mentioned in your thread about them drawing searchers to them. Then after another hr or so of searching found another patch which wasnt as random, left all the little ones so will have to have a look this weekend if any more have popped up, gonna have a look around for some other stuff too, acacias and such. Awesome place just to wander around in, except when you start wandering in different directions not paying much attention to exact directions and can't see the sky from the canopy. starts to get a little worrysome then hahaha. Its like treasure hunting in a "perfect" environment. didn't see another soul the whole time, except for my girl of course! bzzzzzzzzzzzzzt they are talking to you. Must think you are interesting for some reason or something
crix Posted June 24, 2010 I had some luck today, and what a great day it was for a hunt too These are some of the most beautiful specimens i've seen, there must have been 50-60 all up, some up to 8cm across...
