JDanger Posted October 27, 2009 Second one is certainly a pachanoi, albeit with slightly larger spines than I'm used to. No idea on the first. Reminds me of a T. spachianus though the spines look too long and the ribs look too thin.
interbeing Posted October 27, 2009 Second one is certainly a pachanoi, albeit with slightly larger spines than I'm used to. defiantly thought it was a pachanoid of some sort, it's distinctly different to all my other pachs though, very dark green to almost blue coloring, spines on new growth are brown and has a lot more prominent v shaped notches above the areoles
Evil Genius Posted October 27, 2009 Hi Interbeing, i have the Impression that Number 1 is a Helianthocereus of some kind. Number 2 is pretty clear. There are countless diffrent Pachs. Impossible to say for sure which one it is. But its nice! I bought a similar one on ebay a few years ago. bye Eg
mac Posted October 27, 2009 I found my pc type pach clones now have much larger spines on the new growth because they get mainly full sun
