yes big cereus peruvianus......is a good sign them mimosa flowers are not mauve or pink

i thought it was an anaden at first but the seeds are way too small... only bout 4mm-6mm

Irie,

I know it can be difficult..........especially here which has these growing on the roadsides around the island...

I found it's a good species to start as a baseline for IDing.

Compare other acacias type trees, the shade & pattern of the leaves, the general silhouette, hues of green/blue, stance, shape and the way they wave to you in the wind.

You'll have it down in no time....
