Zenerol Posted May 9, 2009 I found some fungi today which to me, look a lot like the ones in this picture: http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/inde...st&id=12535 I also posted some pics of some other finds (what I think are Amanita) in the "boomer" thread: http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/inde...st&p=214618
0 kindness Posted May 9, 2009 they aren't subs - or any that you mention in the title of this thread. I've seen whatever they are growing in areas where subs grow though so you might be in the right type of county for them which is a plus. I wouldn't be eating the ones you have picked tho! peace

0 Zenerol Posted May 9, 2009 Yeah, they do not bruise blue or anything like that (what I am really looking for! ) ... so that's why I posted them here, to see what you guys think. Thank you both very much for the replies. Any opinion on the ones I posted in the other thread: http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/inde...mp;#entry214618

0 Birdman Posted May 14, 2009 Hi Zen, When ever ive come across a patch of (my guess is marasmius??) i tend to find what your really looking for.For me they are a great indicator species.
0 Zen Peddler Posted September 1, 2009 I wa salso thinking something marasmius like although the gill colour suggests otherwise.
0 mutant Posted September 1, 2009 They are not marasmius, I too thought of some hypholoma which are toxic. Some species even contain traces of some amanitine! [death cap toxins]
