I did try to warn the organizers about this however they didn't seem to concerned and were happy for them to attend the event and peddle their junk. So my suspicions were true and they were trying to get rid of the last of their mephedrone they dug up prior to the event? Some people have no morals or ethics and its sickening. I gather they were selling to kids like back when they used to run their market stall? For anyone interested this has nothing to do with HHH but another vendor with a shady rep. Bush Turkey Posted April 5, 2011 Can you see what im saying now? yes, yes i can. i suppose id never seen it before because i mainly go for the morning stomp when all the douchebags are gone. ethnodude. yeah it wasnt left over stock, they had a new name and package and were advertised as the same as the old ones. dodgey!!! it was pretty good but nothing special. i think the doof scene in WA will change a bit over the next few months as in the paper today they said there is a pending investagation. Bent Perception was sub par for many reasons, not in the least how they treat the site (i.e. there's no environmental policies in place, nor any indication that they care about how it's treated), it's far too commercialised (what the fuck was the deal with the printed glossy "map" of the area??), it was overpriced and the site, while being in forest, is by far one of the worst forest sites for a doof I've been to. Regrowth may be surrounded by grassy paddocks, but at least they actually do something to try to give back to the site. Being in the bush might be nice, but when it's clear no one actually give a fucks about the bush itself, it's a sad state of affairs. Edit: To me, the quality of a doof in not only judged by whether the music, production and set up in good, it's also about the general vibe of the party, where it is, how they treat the site, whether it's a purely commercial operation or not (doofs all used to be free once upon a time), whether they do anything beyond making money out of the party, etc. Tripsis, I can tell you know Nothing about doing doofs. The map was actually a requirement, so why don't you find out more before bagging another crew. Thanks Wow, I can tell you didn't go...... It was backed by NSW forrestries. The site was cleaner then when they left and it was the only "real" Doof i have attended in years. Each to their own, Vibe counts for alot. For the record. The Bent Perception Crew have lost $$$ on every party except one.... You say that doofs used to be free, well artists used to be free too, now they charge upto $2000 AUS for a set, how can you put on free parties..... Come to think of it, it is mostly the night time that bothers me That Methadrone shit is evil. Less then pleasurable to say the least. ThunderIdeal Posted April 5, 2011 it's the same over here, with regards to a bit of a fuckhead vibe during the night (sometimes) which has cleared up by morning, actually i find the vibe more to my liking well before sunrise, the worst time seems to be around 10pm or thereabouts. lots of it is perception though, perceived fuckwittery versus actual witnessing of inarguable fuckwittedness. ubza_1234 Posted February 2, 2012 ok guys so i am planning to catch up with a friend in newcastle and can only head down there for the weekend. i havent set a date cause i think it would be realy super cool if there is a bush doof goin down on that weekend i can take her to. to be honest will prob only be there for the sat night as i would arrive friday night, go to the doof with her, then leave on the sunday. because of this reason, i would hope it be not too far from newcastle. Im shocked that you feel the need to hate on our event so much, we only try our hardest every year to bring a quality event to the scene.. Do you put on partys? do you know whats invovled?
