ballzac Posted November 27, 2008 I get mine tomorrow too. I think I did a bit better this semester than last. I may get three distinctions and a credit, although it could end up being three credits and a pass. It's always hard to know exactly where you sit. Although I must say, the last two semesters I got 67 and 68 for physics. The first of those two semesters I missid exactly half the labs, worth a total of 12% of the final mark. So if I had've gone I probably would've gotten about 77 rather than 67. Then last semester, I felt I did really bad on the exam and was surprised that I even got 68. So really I think I should get about 75. Might even get HD for astrophysics, as I did quite well throughout the year and also felt I did much better than I was expecting to do on the exam. Differential equations I feel I did well on the exam, and I did okay throughout the year but I didn't hand in the last assignment which was worth 4% IIRC. So I'm expecting about seventy, maybe a bit more. The one that I expect a credit or a pass for is a compulsary unit that was a PITA. I only turned up to a couple of the classes, which were worth 10% in total, and I only did half the assignments. I calculated that I needed a credit in the exam to pass the unit, which I should get because the exam was piss easy, but it depends on luck if I fluked a few that I didn't know in the multiple choice, I may do a little better. Fingers crossed, because it would be shit to fail that unit and have to do it again.
ballzac Posted November 27, 2008 My estimates were pretty close, although I got a little less on astrophysics than I expected. Turns out I got physics - 78 differential equations - 75 astrophysics - 67 science - 57 Very happy with these results. Even if I don't improve in physics I'll still be able to get into honours, but I expect to improve dramatically in my physics units next year.
devance Posted November 27, 2008 A way to get a better I.Q. exam. result. I got one of 136. 4 points from genious. But as a intelligence test wearing oneself out on the first questions is not the way. But go to the last of the exam while fresh. The first part exam is to just wear you out and see if you can figure out stuff after the 40 or so crap questions. Way its done in the U.S., anyway. But who cares as the U.S. doesn't have any scientists anymore. The illusionary reality of a U.S. political/financial mist aborted anymore scientists. The U.S will have to outsource their scientists. But my mistake, the U.S whore has some problems with that. Like a sex disease. But financial, the whore fornicated to well with too many with a transmitted financial disease. Look it up bibically as the 'whore of babylon'. See if theres any difference. A new dynasty that simply laughs and walks away from the ripped off public. And no doubt thats the case. . The elites always have the military. But they haven't figured out the biblical tribulations. And even they did it wouldn't matter. So the world economic leaders are trying to stop a financial hemmorage while a asteroid is moving in, among other problems some as manmade. Like a crowd of turkeys, just reacting to the newest threat. But the truck is getting closer, For the Thanksgiving roast.

Mr Stay Puft Posted December 22, 2008 (edited) 88 for Chem (first year) ... thought it would be me worst subject but just shows you never really can tell 87 For Botany (2nd year)... 85 for Genetics (2nd year)... Pretty happy to say the least! And if your wondering why my subs are diff years I started in a mid-year intake so unfortunately im lagging 1 year in my bio-chemistry studies Edited December 22, 2008 by Mr Stay Puft
MindExpansion Posted December 23, 2008 Wooo, 59.2 for my last exam for the year. and a P+ for my individual assignment. Pretty happy, can do better next year though. Big congrats to you Sina, and anyone else who finished up this year. Peace
indigo264nm Posted December 25, 2008 Only did two subjects this semester... BIOL115 - The Thread of Life - 79 - D CBMS103 - Introductory Chemistry B - 66 - C Pretty upset with chemistry (basically intro organic chem)... Studied my ass off for 10 days leading up to the exam, knew my work pretty well, got in the exam and had a complete brain melt. Wasted so much time rubbing out full pages of working out for the rxn mechanisms and redoing, then rubbing out and redoing etc. Midsemester exam mark was a HD and ended up with a credit due to brain melting. Very happy with Bio... only study I did all semester was an 8 hour cram session the day before and thus did pretty well for a last minute job.
