toby Posted April 17, 2002 i need to cut back a plant due to it not having anywhere to go, and don't really want to throw it away. does anyone have any tips for successful cuttings ie, soft or woody. hormone powder or no etc thanks
Torsten Posted April 18, 2002 well drained mix and keep it quite dry. rooting powder might help. success is usually less than 50% and frequently around 10% for the more mature woody cuts.
Guest DragonFyre Posted April 18, 2002 how much is needed to take a successful cutting? I mean like is it possible for a leaf cutting to root or are 2 growth nodules needed?? (one to root) thanx for the help in advance
Guest DragonFyre Posted April 18, 2002 also just another thing while Im on the go, when people are trading/buying plants can they PLEASE take the time to send the right details (ie; address!!). There has been major confusion and a loss of some very nice plants unfortunately due to this exact problem and it's not a nice thing for either party to have to endure... Torsten Posted April 19, 2002 2 nodes at least. however the tips are often too soft to root properly
