Lookin awesome Ferret! I really love that long spined specimen in the 3rd pic - any ideas on species? I am certainly jealous of the variety amongst your specimens, they must have taken some time to gather! It would be interesting to fast-forward a decade or two and see all of them as mature plants :drool2:

Those lil white spined trichos are cool fez, i picked one up last time i was at Gworld. Sorta looks like most trichos rolled into one, will be interesting to see how they mature.

:drool2: Hey Mr. F,

very cool new stuff! Seems like your just as addicted to buy new cacti as me myself. I want to mention a few things:

1. The bridgesii in Pic one looks awesome!

2. Garden world is cool!

3. This is the most interesting one for me!

4. the Spination of these looks like some Cuzcoensis Plants that i have! But they are other Cuzcoensis Forms than 242!

5. the same type as in three?

6. looks like the Spiny Wild Pachanoi Form that JL Hudson once sold! I like them!

7. Wow, SAB Seedgrown looks cool! What kind of seeds was it? Standard seed?

8. Is it possible that it should read zieglerii? I recently came across this variant in the german area! Can you please post more pics of the actual plant?

9,10,11 Where is the Chicken??? :P

12. Looks interesting! How was it labelled? Macrogonus?

bye bye

#1 is cool, some serious notching going on there.. #2 looks similar to a 'blue peruvianus' i got from cactusland and grows very chunky,.. yer #3 is quite strange, never seen such white spines before, almost translucent.. 3,4&5 are some kind of hybrids i presume, a couple of them were actually labelled peruvianus at gworld but i think theyre pretty arbitrary in their naming system.. 4 &5 look like longer spined pachanoids to me, 3 seems to be have more scop and bridgesii kind of characters about it..

#6 is from SAB seed, ive always they were meant to be pachanoi but its possible i sowed some peruvianus as well and forgot about em  tis pretty anyhow

7 is a 'short spined peru' amongst others.. (thanks hebrew its a stunner!)

i bought the loph labelled as Loph. zeigleri, i think the spelling has probably been bastardized a bit somewhere along the line, its probably the same var. of Loph williamsii as the zeiglerii over your way EG.. ill get some pics of it soon, its 21 years old!

The chickens were locked in their pen so i could eat my toast in peace, ill bust her layin a egg in the cactus patch one day and take a pic , im curious to see how she manouvres through them all

The last pic im reasonably sure is a ss01 x ss02! nice spines ey.

thanks folks glad you liked my pics!

Just an FYI - not sure what zeigleri is synonymous of, but your lophie is definately an L. williamsii. Any chance of a better pic?
