Soldiers face court on drugs charges

Two Sydney soldiers have faced court accused of supplying a large amount of illegal drugs.

Police have charged 23-year-old Blake Turner and 26-year-old Jade Farrell over the large number of ecstasy tablets.

They are combat engineers in the base of Sydney's Holsworthy army base.

Liverpool Local Court has heard the men were arrested last night after allegedly supplying 500 tablets to an undercover police officer.

The court heard about $45,000 was found at one of their homes.

The men's lawyers said their clients would make bail applications when they next faced court.

The Magistrate Mark Sheppard adjured the case until next week.
