What is Entheogenesis Australis (EGA)?

The Enthnogenic Landscape is coming to the forefront of consciousness more than ever before as we reassess our place in the universal mantra, part of this communication revolves around association with particular psychoactive plants. EntheoGenesis Australis hopes create a space in which we can freely discuss the benefits of psychedelic plants, chemicals and culture and debate many of those questions we all seem to be asking.

EGA is a presale only 3 day open air gathering of intergalactic proportions - based around a Conference and workshop format with plenty of ad ons to keep the mind in top gear. Attendees can camp on site free.

It is with excitement that we can officially announce that Dennis McKenna (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_McKenna)will be headlining Entheogenesis Australis 2007.

As you can see we are certainly already in for a massive treat this year. As well as a sterling line up of speakers from all over Australia, we also have a new site that is just magnificently set in the mountains just outside Mansfield in Victoria. It even has a spring feed swimming hole and loads of surrounding forestlands to explore. So keep an eye on our web page as we will be releasing further details soon!

Discussions Panels

Psychedelic Activism and Dissent:

It's origins and its FutureAll politics is an extension of consciousness, and psychedelic activism has a rich history of raging against the machine. From the anti-war movements of the 60s attempting to levitate the Pentagon, to drug busts in the bush and media scares in the 00s, the politics of consciousness should be at the heart of modern activism. So why isn't it?

Ethnobotanics – lets get physical:

A General Q and A on entheogenic plant identification, propagation, extraction and proliferation. Ask the expert penal the questions that have been bugging you about anything to do with entheogenic plant.

Ayahuasca: A Holy Grail for our species?

In the 60s LSD opened the mind; in the 80s ecstasy opened the heart: now in the 00s, is ayahuasca revealing the spirit for a new generation of seekers? With ayahuasca use exploding in the West, does this jungle sacrament offer a chance for a genuine archaic revival? And is the sacred vine being commodified by Western use as it spreads across the planet?

The rise of the Ultra-culture:Doof, Entheo & Tribal communities in the 00's:

Forget the counterculture: the Ultraculture is the hybrid offspring of all that has gone before: Part hippie, part activist, part spiritual warrior. As this new global tribe coalesces, what have we learned from past communities' experience? How do we weave myth, magick, science and technology to be a successful tribe in the present?

Doof Culture - Pounding open the third eye

The role of the trance dance has never been more vital to connect us to the earth, but where is it going? Mass commercialisation in the mainstream is balanced by an eco-activist bush doof movement in the underground. Doof isn't dead. but what is it becoming?

Discussion Groups

Krusty - "An evaluation and discussion from the Experimental Shamanic Trance Dance and Sacred Plant and Sound System Workshop (EGA 2006)".

Margaret Cross - "Medicine Women: Sacred Plants/Sacred Duty: The role of the Divine Feminine".

Lara Rose - "The natural law of Ayahuasca; her tendrils spread beyond the Amazon".

Julian Palmer "Community Defrag - Lets talk about the issues facing the entheogenic community in Australia"

Margaret Cross - "Medicine Women: Sacred Plants/Sacred Duty: The role of the Divine Feminine"

Workshops

Tim Payne - "Dyad workshop"

Phe - "Shamanic lucid dreaming and plant spirits in medicine realms"

Torsten - "Cultivating the entheogens - for basic and advanced levels"

EveN+DawN - "The 2012 Factor: Time Travel Tips for the 6 year journey towards an Exponential Implosion of the Time Space Cube".

it shocks me every time i think about EGA, its hard to belive that we are lucky enough to have such an incredible global event happening in australia.

the amount of work that the core and extended crew put into manifesting EGA is astounding! :worship:

it deffinitely is a great example of the power plants have over people anyway

from the formal announcments and intel that has leaked from between the seams, this year will again set the standards of collective intelligence on a global level.

speaking to anyone that has been before, missing an EGA is now just not an option!

the space created is astonishingly amusing, just thinking about it makes me laugh in awe!

so to those that have never been before and to those that have, prepare your plans and GET YOUR TICKETS NOW! B)

definately wanna make this one!

No we are not sold out as the tickets have not gone on sale to the general public.

However as I have hinted elsewhere if you join the mailing list now, we send you a link where you can purchase the cheapest tickets that will be available take note these cheap tickets will only be available for a very limited time.

This event is shaping up to be massive experience and from my limited knowledge one of the best gathering of psychedelic heads ever assembled in this country.

Further more there will not be anther EGA till 2009

So please come be a part

I Know many of you are very eager to get more details on the site. Well I can say that we have a conformed venue just outside of Mansfield in Victoria. That is set deep in the mountants and has a small lake feed by a spring. The site is stunningly and perfect for this type of gathering. We can swim and kayak in the summer days and walk in the pristine bushland, as well as soak up the amazing lecture and get involved in the workshops. God this is sounding so good - I won’t to be there now.

Many of you have asked about a shuttle bus

I am away with work till Monday, but when I get back I will look into the transport side of things. Bust basically there are buses to Mansfield and then we will run a shuttle bus/Van from there to the venue on the Friday and again on the Monday and Tuesday after the conference.

even more reason why everyone here should come to this one, there is only so many you get to experience in a lifetime, plus ya never know what might happen, this could be the last, so why would anyone want to miss the oppurtunity of experiencing EGA 07?

...and like big red said its gonna be the biggest and dare i say it 'best' event like this to happen yet in australia, our entheogenic wonderland! well all EGA's and EB's are on my best events ever to happen list :shroomer: only the folks who have never been remain unaware of what there missing out on!

pity the fools who cannot come  hehe

the new venue sounds like paradise, atleast for a timeless weekend it will be! :drool2:

Well finding a site for CS alone is an almost impossible, let alone 300 other plant heads :P

But we have now secured a fantastic site just outside Mansfield in Victoria, and we all know what nice trees grow around there
