0 tonic Posted April 14, 2007 (edited) Pics 1 & 2 look to have the same cacti repeated. Correct? Looks like you have Myrtillocactus geometrizans great for grafting, not active AFAIK, Small pup looks alot like a Cereus peruvianus possibly 'monstose'. Hang on that small pup has a larger spine that I did'nt see at first. Same as former I'd say. Pic 3 KK242?? T.peruvianus X T. macrogonus something to that effect. What do other people think? 0 shruman Posted April 14, 2007 3rd pic is peruvianus or cuzcoensis I would call it a peru
0 Mr Stay Puft Posted April 17, 2007 my guess would be not peruvianus, more likely macrogonus hybrid like tonic said
0 XipeTotec Posted April 17, 2007 (edited) i didnt think it really shows any macro characteristics, as compared to other macros I have seen.some maybe... but not much Edited April 17, 2007 by shroomytoonos

0 Rev Posted April 17, 2007 (edited) last one is the fake peruvianus kk242 aka 'gnosis' or something as MS smith suggests allied to T cuzcoensis if anyones gnome has ever eaten this and found it useful id be very interested to hear of it macroscopically they are extremely homogenous seedling population more so even than bridgesii Edited April 17, 2007 by Rev
0 tonic Posted April 17, 2007 Grow it for a while shroomy, say 6 months-1 year, then we will have another look at it. AFAIK pups are harder to ID than mature specimens. Cacti ID can be a bitch though.
0 Rev Posted April 17, 2007 1 and 2 are clearly myrtillocactus sp - prob geometrizans i dont have a handle on the taxonomy of this genus - i have schenckii as well aka 'bluey' in kmart cactus circles
0 tonic Posted April 17, 2007 kk242 That is what I said
