friends cacti id

Question

just went to an old friends house on the weekend and found that they had just started a mexican style garden with lots of great cacti. i got one cutting off a huge plant (3+ mtrs tall and 25cm thick)

just wondering if anyone can identify it. Is it active?

Oh yeah just to answer your other question, there is a possibility of some Stenocereus being active. Search cardon on the cactus forums.

Nothin' wrong with being a wine-o, as long as it doesn't interfere with your cactus identification skills :P
