Ekadasi (meaning 'eleven') occurs on the 11th day (no shit) of each lunar fortnight. The mind is said to be constantly ascending and descending through the chakras. Buddhists believe that the effects of actions on certain auspiciuos days such as Wheel Days (anniversaries of the 1st,2nd and 3rd turning of the wheel of the dharma) and other significant days are multiplied one million fold.
