PD. Posted July 30, 2006 Does anyone out there know what this is. The owner thought it may be called "Huntingtons black" but he wasnt 100percent sure.

0 Alice Posted August 1, 2006 whatever it is, its doing better than the others in the background. from the spination i'd guess a peruv of some description, but the plumpness is intruiging... looks like its about to explode from juiciness! very cool. maybe its infested with those bird eating spiders
0 PD. Posted August 1, 2006 The others in the background are the parent! The whole plant is almost covered in that nastiness, whatever it is. There had been a fire in close proximity but it only got "sick" after this apparently.
0 M S Smith Posted August 6, 2006 Looks a bit like the plant Sacred Succulents sells as T. glaucus. Here are a few pictures of my own S.S. T. glaucus, but keep in mind mine are not grow in full sun all day and so lack some of the diameter they would in more bright and hot locations (which I suspect the one pictured above is in). ~Michael~
0 PD. Posted August 7, 2006 Thanks Michael, that is the closest looking specimen i have seen yet. The plant in my pic would get about half a day direct light at a guess, as it is almost beneath a large euc tree. Thanks again for the I.D., i will let the owner know
