  1. hi! I have grown and germinated the real lagochilus befor, and I have heard of fake/wrong lago seeds being sold aswell, in the past. yesterday, I stumbled onto those fake lago seeds, for the first time, and I think they were sourced from shamanic plants. I think we have discussed this topic before and some members even knew what the fake lago seeds real name was, but I don't remember names well... anyway, fake lago seeds on the left, real Turkistan mint on the right: I assume this is not a malicious mistake by the vendor, but rather that, those seeds got collected in the wild, in the same area as lago grows, and that those plants might be regarded by the local collectors, pretty much the same thing as the real lago. real lago flower: http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?app=galleryℑ=314
  2. The three images above are of some fully ID'd Lagochilus inebrians seed we germinated in the TC labs here. We're hoping they survive, replicate and that we have more in a few weeks So far we have three individuals: my personal prejudice leans towards replicating from at least 20 parent plants so there is some kind of genetic stability available for others to work on breeding programs for genetic diversity Please know that there is no priority on producing sale plants for some time- atm our main priority is that the original overseas benefactor of the seed has access to as many plants as he needs and is able to handle, and subsequent to that, as many registered botanical gardens have access to plants. First and foremost this is a conservation project! Add to that though that the plant doesn't yet seem to be interesting from a recreational consumption point oof view, and seems so far to only have historical and conservation value, in addition to its intrinsic right to exist But all this is in the pipeline: we're only at the first stage- germination. We still have to get through deflasking backup stock, and replication and rooting for proliferation. Just thought we'd let you know where we're up to [ 04. Lagochilus update

There is so much unsaid about this powerful, enigmatic ally. Here are some reflections to fill the knowledge gap. I have used herb from Daniel Siebert, Herbalistics & home grown. My home grown was Autumn harvested leaves & stalks. D.Siebert & Herbalistics' was only seed capsules. It is said that seed capsules are the most postent material. I found that my product was the strongest of the 3. This may be because mine was fresh, properly dried &/or because leaves & stalks are really the most potent part of the plant? Proper preparation is key to good effects. I use the ginseng cooker, ( http://www.botanicalpreservationcorps.com/Accessories_1.htm ) to exhaust the herb. I have found that good honey added (rather than sugar) to create the best flavoured tea, results in a superior effect. A long (hrs) stew is what's needed. The tea produces euphoria, whole body relaxation, inebriation (very much like alcohol) and a surprising reduction in obsessive/compulsive thought patterns. However, the action of repeated dosing via the tea method, does not seem to enable the euphoria. Best to drink one very strong cup of tea. There is another route of administration, that does seem to enable the repetition of the euphoric response. That is as an errhine! And what a snuff it is, with its wonderful smell, and sinus clearing power. The material for this method, is obtained using the space grinder ( https://www.spacegrinders.com/ [4PC] ). The fine crystals are then prepared for insufflation. Noted effects- pleasant smell sneezing sinus clearing full body relaxation (hemostatic tonic) some loss coordination, reminiscent of alcohol inebriation munchies strong euphoria long/strong duration initially stimulating, later strong sedation with sleep. The biphasic reaction reminiscent of Kanna but more pronounced>
