Years ago it occured to me that making oral-sprays from macerates / tinctures / elixirs would be an ideal way to get small doses and the taste / contact of a plant. It was a time before Sativex, Kanna- and Kava- oral-sprays appear on the market and I was amazed when they came up. The labels are shielded... (the cuttings were moved to a more sunny location in the last month, I'm pretty sure stress triggered the attack; just not sure if the scale was there all along). So far I've quarantined the cuttings & given them a good ol scrub down. They appear scale free for the moment, but I don't think I'm out of the woods yet. Looks like I'll be paying close attention to my collection for the next few weeks & hopefully with enough repeated toothbrush action I won't need to resort to spraying...
