hi!
i think i will contact consumers affairs about this, because garmin does not reply to my e mails, nor do they give me customer support.
i purchased a garmin etrex 10 gps and it came without instructions. it came with very, very basic instructions, but they cover nothing, of the sort, which i bought the gadget for.
i called customer support, once and because i could not see any map, they instructed me to change the zoom levels, which i did click for click as instructed, but this setting is bad for navigation, and i don't know how to set it back to original levels.
the person tells me they will email me, the instructions for my device.
i read the sent instructions and again, they don't, tell you how to use all the features of this tool.
called customer support, 2nd time and the person tells me click for click, how to, put in coordinates. than he suddenly speaks in hindi for a few minutes, and than say's i have to terminate your call, i got an emergency.
i ask to be refered to an other staff member, but the phone goes engaged, for many minutes.
called 3rd time, after 35min of being on hold, the lady say's, she will not help me over the phone, but probably she will send me a video, to my email. this video never arrives.
i emailed them, saying i never recieved any instructions, and how it's possible to sell an item, without instructions.
they never send me a reply.
i'm not very good with clicking gadgets, but i can learn if given a chance.
i wonder if garmin is in there own rights to sell a gps without proper instructions??
