I have just acquired a bunch of rare ephedras. Unfortunately they were very exxie to get, and my financial situation is not the best at the moment, so I'm going to have to put some up for sale - I've never accepted money for a trade before, feel kind of dirty . 25% of all gross money will go to Jim's Kiva drive, maybe that will help. I wanted to show off some Ephedra as I'm at home for a few days and had access to a camera. They were sown just over 2 years ago, good germ rates, not too much dampening off etc etc. Species sown were E. nebrodensis (think this might be considered E. major), E. nevadensis and E. fragilis. Anyone with experience cultivating these, have your plants flowered? What age did this occur at and did they have any particular special treatment. E. fragilis E. nebrodensis Lost label for this one, assume its E. fragilis or E. nebrodensis as there were more of them than the E. nevadensis.. but then the growth habit of this one is much more compact and less sprawling.. (edit) sorry for a couple of the pics quality i should have taken more but it's hard to capture something like Eph. in an image.
