watched this place flood so many times last yr, 6inches up the house even , how the fk can kids play anything on waterlogged rice growing delta or the grass eh?
rang the repairs, they pay some dude £900 to lift a few feet of turf, lay a pipe, and concrete in a drain that's only low enough to stop the flood reaching the house... what about the fkn garden then eh?
so in the meantime I did what I could as and when I could digging a pit for the excess water .. and finally digging a canal as a temporary measure that still doesn't quite cut it fully but at least drains off the far end excavational dugout during a year of on and off archaeology
(found all those slabs and a path under about 7 inches of soil, nettles, brambles, bastard ivy and general rubbish from the last peep who lived here)
any clues on what could be done? , maybe tips on how to connect a gully or piping to the existing drain?
What would you do about it ?
here's some pics of how far I got so far..
