Hi! I'm tomorrow a plan on dyeing a king sized bed sheet to later turn into a hammock. I have large amounts of Syrian rue but am finding it hard to come across how i would get that deep red colour. I hear an extract in alcohol? (I would rather not use alcohol if anyone knows another method) Has anyone tried this or know a method that would work? -Cheers!

I am taking a flight down south soon. I want to bring about 20 grams of Syrian rue seeds with me on the flight. Is this really dumb or perfectly legal?

Saludo! Mi amigo Pablo wishes to understand cultivation of Syrian Rue better, for educational purposes . He has been googling el culo off trying to find out why this plant is so tricky. There's been some speculation of pH being the limiting factor, that these plants love alkaline soils; ver aqui: http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=12349 There's been some hablar and some success stories attributed post-hoc to high pH, but nothing solid so far.. What I wanna know is, has anyone given alkaline mixes a go? Any success stories or other new developments? Muchas gracias!
