    From the album: Trichocereus Freaks

Just noticed this little freak today. I'm debating very much so on hiding this one in my next package going out. Simply because, I can't see someone getting a variegated crested pachanoi and not also getting something nice like this to be its partner.
  2. From the album: Trichocereus scopulicola x Trichocereus terscheckii

Seedling Trichocereus scopulicola x T. terscheckii grafted onto T. pachanoi
  3. Birthdate 19 March 2018 Today our grafted crested variegated Trichocereus pachanoi is 82 days old and starting to pup. Unfortunately, the pup did not choose the proper spot to pup! Is it cheating if you take a an areole that is starting to pup like this one and graft it or will that get you kicked out of the grafting union?
  4. From the album: Trichocereus Freaks

Born March 19. -6June18 variegated crested pachano iareole graft 79days old Today!!! Looking good.
  5. From the album: Trichocereus Freaks

1 month and 15 days and this little variegated crested pachanoi graft still refuses to die.
  6. From the album: Trichocereus Freaks

1 month and 15 days and this little variegated crested pachanoi graft still refuses to die. A grafted areole dries out very fast if it has not taken at this size as there is very little tissue being used here. Sure, larger areoles could be used, but that would take all the fun out of it.
  7. From the album: Trichocereus Freaks

Crested Variegated Trichocereus pachanoi grafts 1 month update...
  8. Tricotyledon (SS02 x SS01) x Trichocereus macrogonus Day 1 10 March 2018 Pictures will be uploaded in real time of this graft to show the natural progression as it unfolds. For those that have their own of this cross... please feel free to post any pictures you may have here so I can see what this baby might look like when it gets a bit older. I try not to miss many opportunities to bang grafting procedures into peoples brains. So, here goes another short one. First label and find an appropriate tricotyledon seedling (scion). Next, wrap your stock with some parafilm. Slice your stock midway through the parafilm wrap you have made. Cover and wrap and your done. So easy, even a child could do it.
  9. From the album: Trichocereus scopulicola x Trichocereus terscheckii

Seedling Trichocereus scopulicola x T. terscheckii grafted onto Trichocereus hybrid seedling also recently grafted.

    From the album: Trichocereus Freaks

I'm not sure what is going on with this little she-devil, but she definitely is not like the others.
  11. From the album: Hybrid propagation via grafting or crosspollination

(SS02 x SS01) mom x Red Grandi (dad) grafted to areole of Pereskiopsis
  12. From the album: Hybrid propagation via grafting or crosspollination

Here we have (SS02 x SS01) mom x (red grandi) dad courtesy again of Zelly. Stock plant is Trichocereus pachanoi. I am hoping to get some nice flowers on these crosses asap. If these hybrids act like some of Zelly's other hybrids I suspect I will have flowers within 2 years on some of these and that is when the fun really begins. Again, I'm a little excited as these little seedlings represent a wonderful new direction of possibilities that I fully intend to explore.
  13. From the album: Hybrid propagation via grafting or crosspollination

Hybrid courtesy of Zelly. Grafted cotyledon seedling are a few weeks old today so it look like 100% success here folks. This means the graft of either seedling to each other was a success as well as the graft of both seedlings to the stock plant was also a success. I'm frigging elated.
  14. From the album: Hybrid propagation via grafting or crosspollination

Zelly hybrid seedling graft Peru2 x Validus.

Cotyledon graft done between two seedlings and graft then inserted into wedge graft of mature Pereskiopsis.
  20. Grafted Lophophora Button Cactus For Sale. Graft is approximately 65mm in diameter as you can see in the attached photos. There are 7 pups growing from the Button, some with their own small pups on them. There are also several others starting to emerge. There is a small blemish because a bird decided to try a little bit, it has completely healed and the Cactus is in excellent health. Plant Rootstock is a Trichocereus pachanoi. Graft is a Lophophora williamsi.var.caespitosa. The Catus has been organically grown outdoors so it is already hardened to outside conditions. Cactus will be sent bear rooted, using Registered Post, to the lucky recipient in a well padded tube to ensure it isn't damaged in transit. Price - $130 ono Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
  21. Did this graft about 8 months ago during the winter .. what can I say I was new to grafting and was super keen! things went south fast.... but someone told me to cut the rot out like cutting the bad bit out of a potato? here is my story in pictures and the subsequent recovery! enjoy! learn from my mistakes! my first ever graft and my first post to this forum! I hear your a good bunch of lads. the rootstock was unrooted and the peyote/trich were in dormancy... I have since learned my lesson!
  22. HI all; I thought I'd share some nice looking grafts I did recently with a t. peruvianus huancabamba seedling or two. I chopped em up and put them on cereus, super pedro and pc pach. I like the results at only a few months.
