Thus mythical unicorn of a plant is said to exist. not unlike the Loch Ness monster, photos surface every now and then.... yet, seldom or ever does the mythical beast ever materialize. my interest in it is as a collectible and herbarium specimen. some legends claim it is slow growing, possibly / apparently difficult to propagate, and no one ever seems to have seeds either. can anyone add to the legend of this plant, with photos, info on cultivation /growing, myths , ethnobotanical lore, or ? do you think there would be demand if someone could miraculously produce this plant?

Has anyone here ever seen a captive specimen of the mythical Diplopterys Cabrerana plant outside its native environment? It is rumoured to exist, and there are dried herbarium specimens, yet, I can never seem t get a live plant for my collection after looking for 15 years plus...(Usa) Viable seeds or clones, does anyone, anywhere actually have this plant? (in captivity)
