    "Melbourne-Hardy" Ethnos?

rivea doesnt do alot outside mate, its very slow unless in a hothouse and usuallly dies in winter, sometimes returns in spring other times it does nothing.... psychotria carthagensis grows well where i am...gets alittle distraught over winter but survives and come back in spring crazy.. ephedra species do well if kept dry pot over winter. B caapi usually dies off deciduous in winter sometimes comes back, viridis is a hassle as is iboga can be done, if your lucky it will go deciduous and return in spring.bit like trying to grow rivea corymbosa. datura and sida species grow like charms this way. lagochilian inebrians grows fine also. withania somniferum. erthyloxlum australe as does splityard creek does well also but goes deciduous, and has a slow return of leaves very slow growing in vic. calea zacatechichi can some time go abit sickly over winter depending on its position alittle shelter does it better in winter..but grows well spring summer months. trichos you can stick in your garden anywhere....provided there free draining.. these are some of plants i got far south(4 hours south of melb and very coastal) in my VIC garden off the top of my head that do ok without any protection.

    Led grow lights

id only bother with LED technology if your house is on solar power and id build my own, from what ive experienced, the manufactured ones with hefty price tags seem to be very unreliable and burden for what a cheaper outlay HPS can do,like big red says yields to wattage you still come out a winner! Led grow lights

Yeah there shit...i used LED for awhile and the little globes blow/short out sometimes work sometime dont...shit! Eventually they all die! HPS all the way, i tried to flower some bob marley under a CFL (dual spectrum wank wank) before it became illegal when rastas ran the parliament...and decided there shit also..slow as compared to development under a HPS! Just my thoughts!

    cactus and cat!

http://www.azfamily.com/news/Cat-rescued-after-getting-stuck-on-cactus-184282931.html?hpt=us_bn10 PHOENIX – They call him “Prickly Pete”, and he has certainly earned his nickname. A one year old orange and white domestic cat may have used up a few of his nine lives today, after he found himself stuck on a cactus. On Wednesday, Arizona Humane Society’s Emergency Animal Medical Technicians received a call of a cat stuck in a cactus in north Phoenix, near 19th Ave. and Cactus. When the techs arrived on scene, the crafty cat had somehow managed to free himself from his prickly predicament. But crews noticed a trail of cactus pods that led away from the scene, so they knew it was likely the cat had been injured. Crews followed the trail, and a short time later, they found the animal. But the feline's misadventure wasn't over just yet. He had now become stuck in a fence! The vet techs rushed the unfortunate feline, now dubbed “Prickly Pete”, to the Humane Society’s Second Chance Animal Hospital. Vets spent two long hours, painstakingly removing cactus spines, one by one, from Pete’s muzzle, eyelids and mouth. Now recovering in Second Chance, Pete will remain on pain medication and antibiotics to prevent infection. While Pete's being treated, Humane Society officials will continue trying to track down his owner. If an owner doesn't urn up within 72 hours, and if and Pete is cleared medically, he will go up for adoption at the Arizona Humane Society.
