    Hemlock?

yep, and as rk said for the original flying ointment that was used by european witches ... my friends's interested in reconcocting from an original recipe i think you'd be right torsten about the legal status in australia but not sure about internationally - i haven't had much luck with research, wouldn't know if anyone has tried to use hemlock shamanically, but love to know happiness ea

Do Trichocereus go Dormant in Winter?

sydney: all is on hold for the winter. to further complicate things, the tricho's are all recovering from what i now know is pyrethrene (pyrethrum??) burn ... which, according to Peyote and Other Psychoactive Cacti by Adam Gottleib, only affects tricho's. can anyone elaborate on the pyrethrene/pyrethrum theme? happiness earthalchemist

actually cornucopia, i'm not sure at all ... i wasn't even aware there was more than one "buddha belly", and i got the id from someone after a verbal description only ... sounds like it would be B Vulgaris "Wamin" from what you mention about size ... darklight: thanks for the link! happiness earthalchemist

    Solvents etc

while we're talking of such things though ... i'd be interested to hear everyone's sources for easy-to-obtain solvents ... many times i've bemoaned the fact that i don't live in the states and can't just go out and buy everclear ... i'm not a chemist so don't trust me with your life but here's a few that i know of: 90-something% isopropyl alcohol - available from the local chemist 100% acetone from the hardware (Miller's i think??) happiness earthalchemist

    Solvents etc

in my wild and irrational youth i just walked into a chem supply place after calling them up on the phone, and walked out with a box of ph strips plus a couple of other things i don't see the problem with doing things this way ... especially if you only want ph strips then it's hardly enough to issue a search warrant on, although you'll most definitely be asked for identification. the main problem is that they're damned expensive! happiness earthalchemist

    Salvia Tincture

reville wrote: >talk about taking a break from this world >its amazing how you are able to maintain >your identity clearly while the whole world >just melts away around you that's what struck me about the experience too ... i remember thinking afterwards that, short of having an oobe, a salvia trip is possibly the best evidence that can be offered for the fact that human consciousness is not necessarily tied to the body ... there's no way of denying the feeling i had of being complete and whole, and yet hardly even being anchored in my body, let alone possessed of it or in control of it ... it's the *pilot* phenomenon that you mentioned. happiness earthalchemist
  20. jaq - you're welcome Ed - that's the one, thanks!! i'm always losing things/getting lost in Lycaeum happiness earthalchemist
  21. here's some links that will be useful http://www.lycaeum.org/drugs/Phenethylamin...s.growers.guide http://www.lycaeum.org/drugs/Phenethylamin...us.growing.tips there was a site called san pedro fanatic that had plenty of good info, i don't have the url but it shouldn't be too hard for anyone to find ... have a feeling it's linked from www.lycaeum.org or www.erowid.org somewhere ... happiness and good growing earthalchemist
  22. you don't need to use cacti mix, i've had great results using sand, either river sand or the more expensive horticultural variety if you use dry sand, you can moisten it as soon as the cutting is planted happiness earthalchemist
