    digi scales in melb?

If you have a know quantity to start with then there are a couple of method that work well without needing a scale - just watch your decimal points! (1000mg = 1g) Here is a good description of the liquid measuring technique: http://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/dose/d...ose_info1.shtml If you don't want to drown all your substance at once (say, due to it becomming unstable over time or whatever) then use 0.25ml insulin syringes to accurately measure the volume of the dry powder for which you know the total weight (pack the powder down with the syringe plunger to ensure that that the powders density it reasonably consistant) and then work out how many insulin units you will need for your required dose and measure them out using the syringe. This method works well down to weights around 20mg (though naturally it depends on the density of the substance being measured) After compressing down the powder you may need to use a small piece of wire to losen the powder so that you can get it out of the syringe.

While I can see the point which reville is trying to make, I cannot emphasise enough that Paracetamol(==Acetaminophen) is nasty stuff - in particular subjecting yourself to the substance over and over again in overdose mode will tempt fate. To not seek medical treatment after overdose on the ground you think you'll get better is probably an act of stupidity. Interestingly, I read in one of the below URLs that ethanol actually decreases the liver toxicity in overdose of paracetamol. This, as usual, should be taken as a grain of salt and not used as a reason to mix the two :-) A close friend of mine (ironically a pharmacist) had the unfortunate luck to find an elderly neighbor who had died of paracetamol overdose who hadn't seeked treatment. FWIW, in mice orally, the LD50 for paracetamol is 338mg/kg - though LD50 are only indicators (and not much fun for the animals) Anyhow, have a quick look at http://www.icondata.com/health/pedbase/fil...es/ACETAMIN.HTM http://www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/peds/pidl/acu...te/acetamin.htm http://www.lef.org/protocols/prtcl-001.shtml [This message has been edited by somnif (edited 03 October 2001).] [This message has been edited by somnif (edited 03 October 2001).] [This message has been edited by somnif (edited 03 October 2001).]
