  1. Hi OPP,

My concern with your post #2 (now edited) is that you were stating your opinion as though it were a fact. If your understanding of a matter is significantly different from a view already posted, you would probably be better wording your comment as a statement, such as:

"I thought that psilocybe spore prints were legal to import into Australia? Can anybody clarify this matter?"

    as opposed to:

"For you information, psilocybe prints are legal to import into Australia."

Some poor internet trawler may have seen you post, thought "This guy must be trustworthy because he's named himself after a Naughty by Nature song about sleeping with other mens' girlfriends" and then ordered an illegal item to be imported to his residence in Australia and wound up with a permanent mark against his name making any trip through airport customs much more of a headache than it would otherwise have been.

    Anyway, lesson learned, I hope.

  2. 16 negs for Mr Pink's post.... is that a record?

One of those negs is mine, just out of principle. I had a good friend die earlier this year, from a head injury as it happened although he used to be quite heavily into the heroin scene. I posted an announcement on facebook to let some mutual friends know that the funeral detail would be announced and some bastard posted a youtube vid of "Needle and the Damage Done" by Neil Young. Just pure insensitivity to those people closer to the departed who were in mourning. Your post, Mr Pink, stank in exactly the same way.

I never met or dealt with Gom personally although his internet presence couldn't be missed. Rest in peace and enjoy whatever happens after that.

  3. Hi guys,

I had an unsuccesful attempt last year at growing caapi and I'm interested in giving it another crack.

Only interested in rooted cuttings or established plants. Able to trade or pay cash.

Please PM me if you can help out.

    Thank you very much.

  4. Not only did Crumb not animate Fritz, he went further and cut all ties with the movie, so deep was his hate for it.

Geez... interesting to know. Won't be plugging Fritz in the name of Crumb no more (although I still dig the movie)

  5. I vaguely remember this being discussed within another thread some time back, but couldn't find anything using the search engine. Please feel free to link me to previous topics if you remember them or answer afresh.

Basically, I know it is illegal to chop down a tree in my own yard. My questions are:

    What constitutes a "tree"; and

Why is it illegal to cut down a tree on your own property?

We had a pretty full on storm in Melbourne a couple of nights ago and a small tree (trunk about 3" diameter and about 6' tall) in my side passage was damaged and blocking our access. Simple solution... I chopped it down, pulled out the root system and broke the tree into pieces that would fit in my green waste disposal bin (unfortunately it was of no ethnobotanical value).

Did I break a law? Should I have paid an arborer to come and do what I was able to do safely in half an hour? We're not talking about a 20' oak tree.

Second part of the question is what's the reason for the law? Is it a safety thing? Is it about maintaining a particular level of plant material? What's the deal?

    Any answers appreciated.

  6. ? noo no, you miss it i didn't mean at all that you were discriminating, i mean just as a general principal, the bit at the end, i hate people talking general principals in these things so i put that in to maybe show the kind of implicit limits inherent to supposedly totalizing principals like 'people shouldn't be descriminated against based on sexual preference' etc, i mean it only as a kind of self effacing point

Sorry mate, I'm lost. Not sure what I've said to get you offside. Apologies if I've said something not to your taste.

  7. do you guys not get a rapey or violent kind of vibe from this?

Hmmm... never thought about it that way. Your story does put a bit of a different slant on things. I'd always imagined that people who bought sex dolls did it more out of inability to get real women (sorry Ballzac, not trying to talk about you here).

Sort of like the Lars thing.

  8. Good luck in your decision making. And good luck in not getting flamed.

Well, there's been no flaming so far. Pretty open minded community, I guess.

Just having a look at the sinthetics site, I decided that I would consider buying a sex doll if they develop it to the stage where basically it is a robot designed to do my sexual bidding.

... but then we get into the whole robot slave thing and when the rise of machines actually takes place I don't think I want to go out by having my knob wrenched off by a synthetic vagina.

  9. Ok, first and foremost, I'd like to congratulate you, Ballzac, on being ballzy enough to put that thought out into the public forum.

Secondly, I have to query why, when I clicked your link, I got a message telling me my "family filter" was on when I've never had a message like that at any of the much more overt sites I've visited.

Anyway.... my two cents is that for $10,000 you could buy a hell of lot of lube and just get to know your hand a little better. From an artistic perspective, I can appreciate the real dolls/sinthetics but as a sex toy? I just don't think I'd get turned on by screwing a non-living piece of silicon in the shape of a woman.

To each his or her own though, so if you like the idea, go for it. One benefit of a sex doll over a real woman is that you can stick her in the cupboard when friends and family visit.
