    Melbourne Meet - Celebrate spring!

Although, Sharxx, blossom is appearing on the trees and, last weekend, when it was sunny I could have sworn spring was in the air as I drove along the Eastern Freeway and marveled at all the yellow flowers that had sprung up along the embankment. If we go by the calendar, we're only two weeks away from that marvelous season... and only five weeks if we want to go by the more accurate, natural method of counting by the equinox. So close!!!

    Bliss n Eso

Yeah, this comment doesn't sit well with me. Violence and animalistic desires are a part of the human experience. It gets projected in all genres of music. Debussy wrote pieces about chicks he wanted to shag, "Jazz", as a word, was originally a synonym for shag Rock is about as ego driven as it could possibly be. Music is an expression of the human condition, and music is great. Some expressions, in all genres, are about violence or sex and some expressions are about the divine. As an example of hip hp with a divine message, try
  3. Yeah, I was born in 79, but as a kid I was sure I was the reincarnation of Lennon. (So disappointed when I found he died after I was born). Sorry mate. I'm sure you'll get to chat to him sometime in the future anyway.

    Took 25g Calea

He could stick them on his ass and he'd have much the same effect. I've used patches a few times in my life and if you forget to take it off at night, yeah, you have very intense dreams. Subjectively quite different from Calea, but probably both about as profound as one another IMO.
  6. Yeah, I'm in exactly the same sitch. Ezi-Drummer is good and I've used it a a bit, but I found Kitcore to be really good for just getting a reasonable sounding beat down quickly and it costs bugger all, like 70 bucks or something. Check it out. <edit> link to free demo http://www.drumcore.com/TemplateMain.aspx?contentId=145
  7. Nice work... and for improvised lyrics, those in "Closer" aren't bad at all. Tumbleweed, IMO, is more mature, musically. I'd be really keen to hear more along this slant. Do you have a drummer who will eventually replace those quantized beats? That was the only thing that would stop me from calling this a really well put together tune. Do you play out?
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCbk-rSRoeA Just watched the first episode of a series called "Through the Wormhole". The video above is an excerpt. I'd highly recommend watching the entire episode to anyone who's interested in the existence (or lack thereof) of god, other dimensions or spirit entities in their journeys. To sweeten the deal, you will also be able to enjoy the dulcet tones of Morgan Freeman, who narrates. *** Mutant, I chose this excerpt for your viewing pleasure because it seems to side with your point of view, but make sure to watch the alternative theories as well.

    Life between Lives

Hi Amazonian, I haven't yet. But I have booked myself in for a regression session with an LBL hypnotherapist. The thought's been in my mind for a while and I decided a week or so ago to just do it. Got my tax return and thought I'd spend a little of it indulging the idea of going under. I'll let you know how it goes, and hope you manage to enjoy the rest of the book. From memory, every second chapter is not interview style and offers a sum up of different patients descriptions of the same part of the journey. Please let us know when you're done, and how you felt about it.
  10. LOL (it's true, I'm actually still laughing and getting odd looks from the family).
  11. I have done a little bit of time-traveling, so it's possible that a poem I scratched out 15 years ago could have been sung by a guy in a pick-up 40 years ago. You never know. Or, it could be that I unconsciously plagiarized a well known dirty poem. I be keen to know. As far as it sounding like 'Lovely Rita'.... aside from the fact it has the word 'Rita' in it, I can't actually see the similarity.
  12. Peter, Peter, crumpet eater had a wife but couldn't eat her. Way down in her underwear a filthy, rancid pong, beware! There surely must be crumpet sweeter than my dear beloved Rita. With all my love, I could not eat her. Peter, Peter crumpet eater.

    Antiquity of Entheogens and Ethnobotanicals

Don't bother asking such a reasonable question. It will be ignored as usual. Teotz makes lists because Teotz makes lists. I think that's really all there is to it.

    Advice for herbal intoxicant

Hi guys, As the topic says, I'm looking for some kind of herbal intoxicant. Background is that, unfortunately, due to some careless decisions in my youth, I'm living with hep C. I also have only one kidney, although it is a super double-size kidney (my other one was dead since birth and the good one has grown to accommodate the lack of a brother). Therefore, the two main filters in my body are somewhat compromised. As such, I'm pretty careful about what I put in my body these days. The up-side of that is that I'm sober 99.9% of the time (aside from the occasional journey into the nether regions of the mind). The downside is... ummm... that I'm sober 99.9% of the time. So..... I'm wondering if anyone can suggest an intoxicant of some kind that a ) is liver and kidney friendly b ) I can grow myself or obtain easily (and is preferably legal) c ) gives a nice, obvious mellowness that will sit well with spending a night at home watching DVDs I like being sober/straight most of the time, but every now and then (like last night) I just want to switch off for an evening. I like the odd toke on a joint, but generally only with good company, so that's not the answer I'm after. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

    Advice for herbal intoxicant

Interesting..... Damn, there goes that idea. I need a specify super-strong espresso when ordering a coffee just to get enough flavour to suit my palate. In fact, when I pee, what comes out is steaming brown liquid, opaque and milky, with an aroma that takes your breath away.

    Advice for herbal intoxicant

Thanks tst, When you say "without fermentation", are you talking about an early stage of home agave brewing? Hmmm, Google pulled up a few articles about the possibility of liver benefits with pulque and a whole lot of articles taking the opposite stance eg: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1502659 To be safe, I think I'll leave this one alone, but thanks anyway for the suggestion. I've never had a noticeable effect from Ginseng. What form would you consume it in and how much? Either I've not had a large enough quantity or else it's just one of those things that doesn't affect me. Thanks for sharing Zen.

Facebook can do it. List who "liked" a particular post. They also don't have a "dislike" option. Not that I want the Corroboree to become facebook. No thanks. Just putting it out there, you know?
