Sheep gives birth to human-faced lamb

Totally agree. The body does have wet, matted fur too(despite what the article says)- but the face has none. That face looks exactly like one of those cheap, plastic masks you can buy. If these people were so primitive, superstitious and terrified that they burnt the body, why would they wait for someone to come along with a camera first?

    My first Acacia

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for me about which species would be easy for me to find in a nursery. Have been looking into the interesting forms of acacia, but not sure how to go about procuring any. I don't want to just stroll into a nursery and rattle off a long list of names and start raising eyebrows . I am a relatively experienced gardener, but anything really tricky to grow I would prefer to steer away from. Cheers

    The Ganzfeld effect

Thanks . Yeah, I definitely think people should give this a try. I found it very bizarre and mysterious, and will do it again when I get around to it. It's strange when you think about the fact that all reality is what our brain perceives, and when it can't find enough of that 'reality' it creates its own. I agree with you about combining with a substance- it would rock your brain
  4. I haven't taken too many hallucinogens myself, so there is probably heaps of people more qualified to answer this question. But the only thing I could say is that is handy to have something around to combat anxiety if it occurs. Some diazepam, temazepam or seroquel etc. Only as a safety net if you really need it. Oh, and it would be best to have this calmative be one that you have used before- so you know what dose is appropriate and your reaction to it.

Got the Codeine Monkey off my back.

Okay, I am a total nOOb and I know it . So you'll have to forgive me for this question- by "DOC" do you mean 'Drug Of Choice"?

    The Ganzfeld effect

Hey I was wondering if anyone has ever tried out the Ganzfeld effect on themselves. More detailed info can be found here- http://www.mindhacks.com/blog/2008/11/ganzfeld_hallucinati.html But the short version is you lay down somewhere quiet and comfortable with no distractions, place half a ping pong ball over each eye(I used sticky tape to seal it up well, no light leaks), and have white noise running in the background (I used my clock radio for this static). Your brain seeks to make some sense from the near absence of stimulation, visual hallucinations eventually result. I tried it out a while back and thought it was quite interesting. It took about 40 mins to start, but I think the average person would be quicker as I am easily distracted . Gentle hallucinations, like a waking dream. I was always aware of where I was, so it's not like you could get 'trapped' in the experience. So anyone else tried it?

Got the Codeine Monkey off my back.

Thanks for your reply FP. Been taking it for about 3 months. Got to two 200mg doses a day (so 400mg in 24hrs). Have managed to drop down to two doses of 80mg. But it's constantly on my mind- How long until I can have more? Really want to just feel comfortably numb all the time. Which is not a good thing. Yes, I did start taking it for pain- just not the physical kind . Am prescribed meds for anxiety (diazepam and moclobemide). Codeine seemed like a convenient alternative in the beginning for when the diaz ran out. But I got lazy and took it here and there when I didn't need to because it was fun and made everything seem okay. Made being a mum of two small kids just that bit easier to manage. Before I knew it I needed it to get out of bed in the morning. Now it has a hold of me, I don't like feeling straight anymore . I don't think I could go cold turkey, coz I have to look after my kids and there is no way hubby can take time off work at the moment. I noticed people mentioning in the forum that they are changing the laws about codeine. I guess this would be a good thing for me if it is happening in WA too, coz it will make it more difficult for me to stay on the stuff. I still wouldn't mind taking it occasionally in the future just for fun, but I don't want to be dependant on it- physically or emotionally.

    Homeopathy: Overdosing on nothing

I wouldn't care about homeopathy if it was just fools wasting their money on nothing. But it gets me really angry when I hear about idiot parents that end up killing their sick kids by refusing traditional medicine and using crap like this instead.

Got the Codeine Monkey off my back.

Congrats on kicking it! Do you have any tips for me about how you went about it? Got a little bit of a codeine problem myself recently. Pretty keen to stop relying on it, driving all over town for pharmacies, and obsessing over when I can have my next dose. Husband is giving me a hand to reduce dosage slowly, but the temptation to cheat is strong. Did you go cold-turkey or skate down?

    WTB: HBRW seeds, fresh,bulk?

I've been getting mine from ebay. Good germination rate and potency, so must be relatively fresh.

    Aphrodisiac for ladies

I smoked a lot of Damiana for a while- didn't find it increased my libido to be honest. Just slight alteration in my perceptions. Guess everyone responds differently.
