    sab will never die!

hi! I believe the sab forum, will never die. to make it immortal, what do we have to do? tort said, maybe he would sell at one stage sab including the forum. a new owner might, bring on changes, which is ok, but again how can we keep things as they are, for as long as possible? I would like for example have a back up copy of the whole forum, in case I am entitled do to so. how could this technicly achived? in short, I would welcome a discussion how we can make sab inmortal. we have lost two forums already, people did put in thousands of hours of work and research and now it's all been wasted... if sab shut's down, I might die, it's that bad, hehehe.

    Bugs destroying Brugmansia/Datura

your pot is a magnet for pests animals, because of the moisture and the good food you provide. I suggest you re pot them into the open or repot and place the pot somewhere, where it dries out more. 12 inch plants hardly can get killed by slugs and leaf eaters (they always survive!), even if ther is only halve the stem left they will re shoot. try not to fight the pest but eliminate issues which facilitate the pest ( wet spot with slug, snail hide outs, too shady, spot never dries out,...). put the pot's somewhere higher up, this can make it harder for snails/slugs.

    obama hacked merkels mobil

its a matter of trust, and those people can't be trusted anymore. I used to be a tradesman and my clients trust me, that I will not bug there phone, check out there medicinal cabinet, and don't touch any of there things and belongings! if Obama and co would be tradesman, it means they would do all of the above stuff, double standards... no one has the right to listen and tape your personel life.
  6. i'm sorry to ramble on about my dyslexia, but it's time the dyslexic's of this world come out of the closet. I feel like I could be an educator about dyslexia... dyslexic's are great inventors, it's rumoured xxxx (suddenly no re call, I mean the mona lisa guy, no re call is as well a dyslexia symptom) was dyslexic!! here is my todays invention, a plant stalk ( later correction, should read "stake") for small leggy plants, whcich needs no tying up, AND allowes for lot's of movent so the stem will get strong and tough. this could be as well scaled up, or manufactured out of other materials (wire)... left all mistakes!

Gold in Trees May Hint at Buried Treasure

another one where nature helps the natural resources explorer, are ants! the ants bring micro diamonds to the surface, which than can be assayed out of the ant hills.

what did you do in nature today?

following the threads in the cacti and plant forum... sundays, I often go for an excursion. today, I stayed close to home, but it was still very event full. I decided, to go fishing and setting red claw traps in the local dam. decided, to drive a 4 wheel drive track, with my non 4 wheel drive car, and got bagged in a sand trap right at the beginning. placed twigs and branches of a fallen tree, underneath the tiers, but made only little progress. walked to a friends house close by, and they snatched me out of the sand. good ozzie adventure, right from the word start. fishing turned out a waste of time, but I managed to set the traps, with hopefully, no body watching me (the bastards steal your traps plus contents) . now the highlight, I tried another spot for fishing, and noticed a pair of small king fishers, flying in and out of there nesting hole, catching aquatic food!! took some samples of the alluvial of this creek, in hope to find some gold. life is good!

previous post showed how to propagate a single plant, now for when you take plenty cuttings... just place all your small pots with the cuttings into a bucket and seal it with sheets of glass (you get them from the recycle station at your local waste dump).

    my viridis and cartha

my view is psychotrias don't need hand pollinating, but maybe I am just lucky to have many bees and all sort of insects in the garden. all my psychotrias, apart from the shipibo, just emerged there flower spikes, but I took most of them off, by hand, as I don't want them to flower and produce seeds. left two spikes at the nexus though... side track over.

    my viridis and cartha

harden them out right away after they germed, so take the cover off. observe for wilting symptoms, once you took the cover off, if wilt is observed, put cover back on, but take off again a few hours later. here is my pic of a seed grown nexus, seedling which just poked her head out yesterday. I don't use a dome/ cover at all for viridis seeds. if you keep them under great humidity, you will run into trouble later...

    Tree Spirits

regarding camphor wood getting you "high", there is no sience back up... I worked with camphor, and when you router the wood for a few hours, I felt intoxicated, but I got no one to back me up on this. neither wood I know, which are the actives behind this claim, but camphor contains safrol... if you breath in those fumes for a long time, your hands get shackey and your eyes will get blood red and you will weep a lot... edit: I tried 4 different versions of shackie all were wrong, English sucks...

    Tree Spirits

looks like mango wood to me, nice wood, but not very durable, unfortunately. btw, you can get high, from smelling camphor wood, if the saw or the router, burns the timber...
