    Importation of Coca Leaf Tea

'mate de coca' is the label on the pack - I thought it translated to 'coca tea', but could well refer to yerba mate. doesn't have an ingredients list, just nutritional info. i wonder..
  2. identifying these unknown woodlovers before having the experience might be a good idea... so in the depths of the trip, you can have 100% assurance that you are in no physical danger from this strange funugs you have introduced into your body. wise words by holy mountain, with psilos you will certainly get more of what you need that what you want/expected. the cosmic scale of the mushroom visions can be truly frightening and cold at times, but i think if you follow its teaching far enough you see that the infinite vastness and beauty of the universe and hyperspatial realms is embodied in everyone of us... the Ouroboros. be careful with maoi's and psilocybin, i wouldn't recommend for a first time. if you really feel compelled, try smoking or vaping a small amount of syrian rue rather than eating it as its more manageable that way. first time SWIM took syrian rue was truly frightening, first time they thought they were in physical danger from a psychedelic... didn't even get around to the jurema, with the blurred vision, headaches, lack of coordination etc. with regard to the herb, IMHO the key is cultivating a positive relationship with it. its an amazing, beautiful and powerful plant - one that can be abused, yes - but one that has been an ally of us monkeys for thousands of years. key things are: stop combing it with tobacco, eat or vape it rather than smoke it, only smoke after you have done your hard days work and most importantly grow it yourself. used in this way it can be very positive and uplifting.

...and the mate de coca is a nice start to the day decocainised or not, its quite stimulating
  4. so do the mexican morning glories, Rivea corymbosa et al, bring the same undesirable side effects or are they cleaner than HBWR? I know they have to be taken in much larger quantites - does this lead to a large concentration of non-LSA compounds in the dose?

    Warning on Subs

dude, was that 29 DRIED grams of subaeruginosa? i would love to hear your story one day. apparently there was a talk by an african shaman at EGA 2009 that said he had done 30 grams of cubes and spent the night in the bathroom as when he opened the door the world had disappeared completely. anyone see or know of this talk and the brave souls name? i met a guy who has done 8.5 grams of cubensis, 4 pairs chewed down on an empty stomach. syrian rue seeds powdered and vaporised after about 3 hours. according to their account, their is a parallel dimension chocked full of 'spirits' living in symbiosis with all living plants and animals, and thus our destruction of the natural world is causing them many sleepless nights. the visible world is only the tip of an ice berg that descends into the inky depths of infinity... however they felt for them that pushing the dose much higher than 10 grams may endanger the mind, as at this dose they felt a temporary schizophrenia emerge that was a little alarming. this guy had done subs once before, about 2 grams at a folk music festival, along with 2 grams of cubes. due to repetitive use over the past few days, the trip was not that spectacular however. it is interesting that maria sabina did not like to take the san isidro cubensis, preferring the native Psilocybe caerulescens. given that subaeruginosa is also an endemic species, perhaps the spirit of the land is truly infused within it. but more likely, it is the unique chemical makeup of subaeruginosa that gives it its unique hallucinogenic qualities. a high percentage of baeocystin perhaps? apparently p baeocystis has a strong body load as a previous post described. once you have taken the mushroom, it is inside you forever. peace, k

    Argyreia nervosa secrets

yeah i read somewhere that mint may convert the LSA into something more stimulating, negating the whole sedation effect one normally encounters. interestingly the alcohol extractions apparently do not show sedation either. thats an interesting touch with datura seeds, where did u get the idea to do that? i wouldn't be surprised if some morning glory / tropane mix was used by the maya...
  7. in the 'ethnobotany of shamanism' lecture by terrence mckenna he states that there is no recorded human usage of Argyreia nervosa... apart from hawaiian surfers in the 1960's. if i remember correctly it was introduced into hawaii from polynesia (?)... or maybe it was india as you say. schultes and hofmann's 'botany and chemistry of hallucinogens' only gives passing reference to HBWR, then poses the question 'why have no native people outside of mexico used the morning glory seeds?'. i think the answer is either (a) they did a very long time ago and the tradition has died out, or ( there were better entheogens in the areas where these grow (ie psilocybin mushrooms) so the people didn't feel the need to go through all the undesirable side effects associated with HBRW. that being said, i have heard of people having mega trips on 13+ seeds and afterwards they were convinced this must have had a history of human usage due to the richness of the visions that was 'more humanistic' than lsd,,,, does anyone have any good information on getting a reliable and clean experience off any of the morning glory seeds? how did the maya go about using them? there are so many different types and so many different dosages that i get a bit confused with them some times...

    Argyreia nervosa secrets

a guy I met had become interested in argyreia nervosa in the mushroomless winters. on a trip through germany they had soaked 14 seeds in vitamin c laced water overnight, and had a heavy trip that lasted for 12 hours. apparently was v. profound and visual, on par with a psilocybin revelation - however later they related that much of the profundity may have been drawn from physically feeling like dying. apparently very strong body load and racing heart, feeling of paranoia, also they got very sick, like a flu. this guy then tried extracting 150 seeds in 300mL of bacardi 151, leaving it soak for many weeks with a couple of shakes. taking just 6mL of the extract resulted in a very smooth euphoric experience for them, giving uncharacteristic verbal facility. maybe the alcohol extraction removed some of the nasty glycosides? but he reckons psilocybin seems much more friendly.

    acacia ID

I would say its a black wattle, Acacia concurrens, A. crassa , A. leiocalyx or A. longispicata. The phyllodes look too stubby and dull green for maidenii...

    never Seen before...

The presence of gills means it cannot be a boletus species. The 'extremely fast' staining reaction is not typical of psilocybin containing species which in my experience seem to take a few minutes to turn blue. Perhaps a Lactarius or Mycena species? Mycena haematopus? what colour were the gills? what size was it? Don't be too disappointed that its not a psilocybin containing species, could be quite a rare find in these parts...! The folks at the Mt Cootha herbarium could help you out.

    Possible Amanita Pantherina

actually, looks more like Amanita rubescens "European Blusher" http://www.njcc.com/~ret/amanita/species/ruberube.html looks like a rare species to find in qld: "Amanita rubescens - an exotic species found in South Australia Katrina Syme In early July, Pam Catcheside and I found and collected a pair of Amanita rubescens growing under silver birch in Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens, Adelaide. The species has only been recorded from South Australia (Grgurinovic, 1997) but I saw it in the main street of Marysville under an exotic tree (oak?) about 3 years ago. I didn’t collect it, but now realise that I should have – I am sure the RBG Melbourne Herbarium would’ve liked a collection." from: http://www.rbg.vic.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0014/8312/Fungimap_NL_35.pdf

    Possible Amanita Pantherina

hmmm perhaps the reddish colour of the stipe and absence of a volva or peronate universal veil contra-indicate pantherina http://www.mushroomthejournal.com/greatlakesdata/Taxa/Amanipanth494.html

    any cubes yet

    oops
  16. if the rain picks up you might find psilocybe cubensis growing in suitably shaded cow paddocks, although in my experience its too dry and windy in the north burnett. but would be interesting to hear of other local experiences... a trip to the sunshine coast hinterland for a spot of bush walking through cow paddocks might be in order. acacia concurrens might also be present if you near the coast, but its not a confirmed dmt source as far as I am aware.

    any cubes yet

yeah too dry yet tweed river north to mary river i'd say, even in a patch that was fruity august into summer here in 2007. but the clouds are looking darker these days and word of storms on the winds... potency - sensitive to location, climate, stress, substrate, species. sometimes i have entertained the idea that older specimens somehow increase in potency when not exposed to full sunlight. recently heard about encountering thai cubensis whilst on an elephant walk... apparently same strength as cubes here.
