I've asked the vendor and he told me the seeds are from "Tucunaca" strain (sometimes written Tukunaca, or Tukunaka), but he also grows Caupuri (knotted caapi), and i grow them pretty close one of each other. The caupuri rarely set seeds, or when it does set seeds the quantity produced is very limited. So I have a mix but there should be a few Caupuri seeds or even hybrids of both, but most of the seeds will show Tucunaca characteristics. Hi does anyone know where I would be able to buy a large humidity dome about 640mm x 410mm x 200mm (H). I'm going to make a aeroponic clone box similar to the Turbo Klone. If I can't buy something for a reasonable price I'll have to make it from scratch. Would acrylic be the best material to use?

Does anyone know which plants are most profitable after the shortest amount of time growing that are legal? I was thinking of starting a small nursery in a few years time so I'd like to grow some plants from seedling now to give myself the best start. I'd like to grow some rare and interesting plants but I don't know where to start. I have a greenhouse and some spare property I could turn into a small tree farm. Something like a Japanese maple would work well in a small tree farm if it grows in my climate well. Ideally I'd like to help revive a rare species and make some money from my investment. The more money I make the more I can put back into the plants.

Herbalistics has Wasabi Japonica so I think I'll get some from there. Most of the wasabi in packets is nice but I want the authentic wasabi paste made from the plant. I think next time I go to a Japanese restaurant I'll see if they have some real wasabi and try it. If I don't like it there might not be much point to growing it.

Thanks for all the ideas Santiago. The worst part about our society is that people think it's bad to fail or be wrong. If society was more accepting to failure people might actually learn from it. I'm minimizing my chance of failure by asking for help and sharing information with others. I might not be able to eliminate failure but I can definitely minimize the chances of it happening. This is a good TED speech Kathryn Schulz: On being wrong I don't really want to make this a full time job to start with. For now I think slow growing plants that don't need much attention will be good. So agaves, cactus and grass trees will definitely be on my list. I want to grow the plants from seed so the plants have better genetics and are more appealing than cuttings. I can use the plants grown from seed as stock plants and take cuttings from them once I get the nursery started. At the end of the day no matter what happens I can't lose anything but my time. I enjoy looking after plants and learning about them so to me my time is well spent.

I'ver seen Mangroves and Mountains on ebay for $70. Do you think it would be worth getting to help me ID plants? Whoever buys the block will be building a house on it. Most of the blocks where these trees are get cleared to build the house and then they plant new trees lol. Such a waste. Thanks for the advice mate. Your not wrong about use it or lose it. I found a obtusifolia last year but I didn't get any photos of it so I forgot what it looks like. I found the same tree again so I think I have a bit of a better idea of what to look out for now. I didn't have my camera on me so I couldn't take any pics. I could be wrong again though so I'll look at some more botanical info before I just to conclusions. Thanks everyone for all your ideas. So many plants to look into. I would love to grow truffles, if only I was in the right climate. I like DarkSpark's idea about salvaging natives from future developments. Agaves and Xanthorrhoea seem like good plants to grow considering the price they fetch plus they are natives. Is the commercial harvesting of protected plants certification a one off this or do you have to get one each time you remove natives?

Yeah I was a bit hopeful that most of them were Obtusifolia. It looked a bit silly all of them being the same plant so I changed the post. Sorry about the crappy pics. I had to borrow a camera spare of the moment. Can anyone recommend either of these books for identifying Acacias; Native Plants of the Sydney Region Field Guide to the Native Plants of Sydney Does Obtusifolia flower in December? What should I be looking for to tell the Obtusifolia from the others. I thought Obtusifolia had a rounded leaf compared to longifolia with its pointed leaves. Next time I take some pics I'll make sure I get some clear close ups.

Thanks for the links mate. I had all of the seeds in my shopping cart ready to buy but I thought I'd see what the community had to offer first. I like the idea of trading seeds and plants with a good community of like minded people. Whatever seeds I can't get from other members I'll purchase. Sorry but I don't have a lot to trade other than money. I'm trying to get a good collection of plants so I can then share some seeds and cuttings around. As soon as I have something decent I'll be happy to share with the people who have helped me.

Does anyone use the "alkaStream" water filter? http://www.alkaway.com.au/information-fluoride-removal.html It seems to be the best product I've read about that removes fluoride. You can get one for $275 on ebay.

Risk vs Benefit.........The risks far outway the benefit. I don't see why we would invest in another fossil fuel when there are renewable alternatives.
