  1. My caapi vine needs a trim, so I will have heaps of fresh caapi to trade in the coming days. Also have a heap of dried vine of various thickness. Interested in plants, seeds, spores, art, or anything you have to offer really.
  2. I have heaps of Banisteriopsis Caapi and Psychotria Viridis seeds I'd like to share. If you have things to trade then that would be great but if not I'm happy to give some away to people. PM me how many seeds you want and what you have to offer as trade or not. Edit: If you have any art or crafty stuff I'm interested in trading that too.

Caapi and Viridis seeds for Trade/Giveaway

Haha yeah I kept away from the forums last week. I'm just doing this for fun and trying to not let it become a chore. I've replied to all PM's and I'll post a heap of seeds off tomorrow. I'd much rather people assume that I'm healthy and happy than assume I'm sick. Be careful what you wish for.....
  4. I'll have some Banisteriopsis Caapi seeds in about a week or so. These were harvested mid September in Brazil, so viability will be about 50% or better. Price is $15 for 10 seeds including postage. $1 each for any extra. I'm also interested in trading them for; vegetable, herb and fruit seeds mushroom spore prints (edible included) entheogenic plants or seeds or just let me know what you have to offer The seeds are from "Tucunaca" strain, but he also grows Caupuri (knotted caapi), and grows them pretty close to each other. The caupuri rarely set seeds, or when it does set seeds the quantity produced is very limited. Most of the seeds will show Tucunaca characteristics but there should be a few Caupuri seeds or even hybrids of both. Here are some pics of the parents; B. caapi Tucunaca strain base Tucunaca flowers Tucunaca producing seeds B. Caapi Caupuri strain base Caupuri flowers Seedlings sprouting

  7. Hey does anyone know if Mimosa Hostilis seeds are able to be imported to Australia without hassle from customs? I sussed out the import conditions for the genus Mimosa but 'Hostilis' isn't listed anywhere. http://apps.daff.gov.au/icon32/asp/ex_casecontent.asp?intNodeId=8459519&intCommodityId=24795&Types=none&WhichQuery=Go+to+full+text&intSearch=1&LogSessionID=0

    Frogs Galore!

I've got frogs everywhere in my greenhouse so I thought I'd take some pics to share with everyone. Such cute little buggers. Some of them are looking a bit thin so I'm thinking since there is so many in my greenhouse there isn't enough food for them all. I was thinking of hanging a light from the roof, near an open window, to introduce more bugs for them to eat. I was reading Mercury Vapor lamps work well for attracting bugs. Would leaving this one for a few hours per night affect my plants? Does anyone know of any other ways to introduce food for the frogs? Has anyone ever farmed crickets?

Top 5 reasons why I Hate women

Huh....What does the top chefs being men have to do with anything? Top chefs that own their own chain of restaurants doesn't mean they are the best cooks. Owning lots of restaurants may not be the main goal of a woman. If everything else that I'm saying about power is to be true then the fact men are tops chefs in western societies celebrity world is no surprise. Since men get more oportunities in business to get there name out there. So therefore they would have an easier time getting famous and being thought of a "top chef". Even if men are better at everything there is to do in this world that does not mean that the majority of men cook or cut hair. From what your saying since some of the best hair dressers in the world are men, then there must be more male hair dressers? I think you are greatly misunderstanding what I wrote. If you read what I said with an open mind you will hopefully see that I'm talking about the majority of people. Julia Gillard is a spokesperson for the labor party. It's not whatever she says goes, they have to have a vote before any major changes are made in government. If you want to argue just for the sake of arguing then I'm not bothering with trying to change your view on anything. Picking apart my post and picking one or two women from society that have money or are in power does not make that the majority. I'm sticking by what I said in my first post. This is based on real world experience and my view on this seems to work best for me. I get a lot of respect from both men and women in the society I live with the attitude I have. Even for the people who disagree with me at first I have found to come around in the end. I like to think my thought process can solve any problems I face. I have done a lot of traveling and seen how a lot of different societies function. At the end of the day it doesn't matter who does the cooking or earns the most money. No society in the world is truly free. We are all controlled by government and government is controlled by money. Whoever controls the money controls us and limits us. The few people who control the money are men. http://www.rba.gov.a...rd-members.html http://www.federalre...dmembership.htm The men are in power where it matters. This might be irrelevant to our country but during the US presidential elections there was a debate between obama and romney. They were asked about women having equal oportunity in the workplace and both candidates just wanted to talk about how many female staff the have. So because romney has more female staff than any other electorate in the country I'm meant to believe he cares for womens rights as a whole. A few women in government doesn't make them in power. http://www.smh.com.a...1005-166dj.html Triple J did a program on hack a while back about womens equality in the workplace, especially as board members of a company. From memory the government is pushing for big business to employ more women in board positions and management positions. Which sounds great except the women that get the jobs still don't have much of a say. Plenty of women called in saying they think they got the job because of pressure on the companies image. So they needed to hire more women to improve their image. Which is why they thought they got the job. Plus they also mentioned what they said didn't really have much affect on what happened within the company. The male board members had control of her job so she was limited to what she could say in her position. So in the end this leaves her with 0 power to make any real change to help her own sex. It's just smoke and mirrors to give the company a better image. Yes women are naturally better carers by nature than man. This is the case in most mammals. The mother bears the children and has a closer relationship to the child more than any father could. She has more of a connection to the child therefore she has more reason to care than any male does. Wow that's a massive assumption and you have totally misunderstood what I said. Comprehend what I say before you jump to conclusions. Refer to what I said above. That's one opinion. Although it differs from mine who's to say we are both right or wrong. Please don't edit out your aggressive responses in future posts. This allows me to see your true side. Maybe being aggressive my put me into line ay. That's usually how most men deal with there problems. Show some spirit and don't let your ego control who you are. There is nothing you can say to me that would make me upset or change my emotions. Only I can do that and I have complete control over who I am and my emotions. So I invite whatever you have to say and I will read it with an open mind. Don't let your ego control you and don't fear anything. Fear is a weak emotion. EDIT: Oh and Gina Rinehart is not much of a woman in my eyes. She shows more male traits than a woman. She is overpowered by her ego, hence why she is so fiesty about her money and will do anything to keep it from her children. The fact that she was used as an example of a woman in power shows the sheepish nature of some people. She was bombarded by the media to make women in power look bad. There are plenty of wealthy males in power who are like her but we never hear about them in commercial news. What makes her so special beside the fact she is a woman. It's a shame so many people fall for the medias tricks and use her as cannon fodder in debates such as this.

    Frogs Galore!

Haha I think I'm about to start my fetish. I might have to put the dish of water somewhere high so the mice don't have an extra reason to stick around. They're a pain in the ass when they throw the soil out of the pots when they dig. I don't mind them though since they help aerate the soil with their burrows. If I get too many I use a live catcher to catch them and then I set them free in the bush.

    Frogs Galore!

That's good to know that they're Litotia Fallax and even better to know they are dwarf tree frogs. I thought they were just babies and would get bigger then leave. I've got even more reason now to feed them and try to get them to stay. Although I don't think they need much convincing since they are everywhere in the greenhouse. I don't have any water laying in my greenhouse. The greenhouse gets misted for a minute every 3 or 4 hours though so I think the frogs would like that. Should I put an open body of water in there to give the frogs somewhere to drink? I think I might try the rotten meat so they can have a good feed of flies. I just hope my dogs don't tear the door down to get to it. Hey Amazonian, how do you know so much about frogs?

Viable Banisteriopsis Caapi Seeds For Sale

I have had a couple of seedlings come up in the last couple of days. The seeds were planted about 18 days ago. They were planted in my greenhouse in shade but not fully covered with any plastic or anything. I've found since planting these seeds that covering the pot with clear plastic keeps the humidity higher around the seed and I've had a much better germination rate with other seeds like silene capensis and leonotis leonurus. Just heat and humidity is enough to germinate the seeds so even when the trays of pots are stacked plenty of seedlings sprout. I was a bit lazy planting these ones so they were planted in sand, coco, terracotta and tub mix, perlite. I've been doing some experimenting with different seed mixes. The best mix I've found for most plants and cactus is; 1.5 parts sand (Australian Builders brand from the building section in Bunnings) 1 part perlite 1 part peat moss I've only been using this mix for the past week and have only just planted some caapi seeds using this mix. So in 2-3 weeks I should know what mix works best. IMO the best way to plant the seeds is either at a 45 degree angle or flat, with the seed and outer vane going into the ground first. You can see from the pictures of my seedlings how they sprout. The second picture was planted how I described. EDIT: Oh yeah I still have heaps of seeds left

Let's not overcomplicate words here just to get a point across. Dictionary meaning; Power - The ability to do something or act in a particular way, esp. as a faculty or quality. To me the person in 'power' is whoever is in control. Whoever is in control has more resources to do something or act in a particular way. These few men in power you talk about have the power and resources to affect millions of people. Look at power as how many people these men have control of (power over). If you look at the big picture and calculated the amount of people each man has power over then that would tip the scales ridiculously to the men having more power. Not many woman have the power to make decisions that affect millions of people. Plus look at what those men do with their power. I don't see much good come from wars that men have power over. I don't know of any women war lords or dictators. You can be impowered yourself but that doesn't mean you have power over others. I have power over my own thoughts and body but I don't have power over anyone else. Whoever controls the money has power over me. I need money to trade for food and shelter. This is why Australia has centrelink. If we didn't have dole payments Australia wouldn't be classed as a free country since the only method of trade that is widespread is money. If I wan't to trade without money whoever I trade with has the power. This is because they have somehting I want or need so they control the price and situation. If I was to get violent and bash them to get what i want that briefly puts me in power. But the repercussions soon take that power away from me. The reason women are mostly given custody of children is because they are better carers by default. There may some mothers who don't care much for their children but if the mother isn't caring then a theres a good chance the father is equally as bad since those type of people usually attract each other. Mother and father should be both given equal opportunity to look after their children but it's unfair to put children in a tug of war between parents. People fight over money enough in a divorce so children parent shouldn't be given the same opportunity to fight over children. IMO giving the woman custody is the best way to go until a better solution is available. Could you imagine how many resources there would need to be to access each father to make sure they are fit to care for their kids. If the father works then that throws another sum into the equasion. I know blokes who love their kids but don't get to see them much because the woman uses the kids as power. On the other side of things these blokes don't really go out of their way much to see their kids since their ex-missus makes it too hard. A lot of the time this is just an excuse. I know if I had kids and my ex wouldn't let me see them I would do whatever I could to be a part of their lives. If travel was an issue then I would move closer. This would solve the problem though which most people don't like to do. What we most suburban people have to do if they didn't have other to whinge about. Plus our legal system isn't fair with most things. e.g. you can be a top ceo and earn lots of corrupt money and only get a few years jail. Old stereotypes? Where do you live and what do you do for a job? I have done work in both construction and retail. Women in retail do all the cooking and cleaning still but are baffled when it comes to changing a tire and handyman work. The men in construction still do all the male stereotype stuff because that's all they have learn't. All of my knowledge on this subject is from real world experience. No matter what TV tells me or a lecturer says will not change what I see in the real world. So I don't see any point in basing what my opinion on someone elses opinion. They might come from a differnt place from me where things differ completely. Why are people so scared of change. Look at history and how much damage and destruction is caused by male leaders. I would much rather take my chances with the whole world be run by women. It can't be much worse than things are now. At least everyone would be well fed :D

Top 5 reasons why I Hate women

It's all about power. Men are in power in almost every aspect of society and they don't want it to change. I think the reason why men are kept in power and given the most money is because they are easily manipulated and respond easily to things that boost their ego. Women on the other hand have more empathy and care a lot more for children by their very nature. I think women stay normal because they have a reset once a month when they go through there menstrual cycle. Men need drugs to help them reset their ego to get back to their natural and emotional side. A lot of the women spokespeople they put on commercial TV makes women look stupid and irrational. They do this on purpose so men won't take any notice of it. I see this all the time and hear it from people who watch TV out loud. It's funny when they put women on TV to talk about childrens welfare that look like they have never had kids. The only feminists I see on commercial TV look like they are stuck up and haven't had a root for a few years. Both sides have their extremes but don't believe everything you see on TV. Most men and women don't know how to communicate properly so problems are never solved and it's always the other sides fault. I do think that men are worse at communicating than women. It's mostly the mans attitude towards women and the fact they have to be MANLY that is the problem. I see this first hand in the construction industry. For the men who are nice to women they are mostly just compliant and their gf wears the pants. The best way I've found to deal with men or women is to not expect anything and never blame someone else for the way you feel. Learn to look after yourself so you don't have to rely on anyone and you won't have to owe your wife or GF anything. Everyone is equal so both men and women need to learn how to cook, change car tires, handyman work around the house and heaps of other stuff. Too often men and women keep information from each other or play dumb to make the other person feel in power. If your GF doesn't know how to change a tire or you BF doesn't know how to cook then teach them. At the end of the day every relationship problem comes down to lack of communication and understanding. This is a good doco http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gkIiV6konY

    Russian Cosmonaut Talks About UFO's

Yeah I agree this video isn't very convincing evidence. The moving objects could just be asteroids. I was mostly interested in what he had to say about other dimensions, positive and negative energy, crop circles and human intelligence potential being hidden from us. I doubt a UFO would be a flying saucer as the movies tell us. I don't think they would need solid objects to travel. At the end of the day I never believe 100% that something is real until I have seen it and investigated it for myself. To me videos like this and all the conspiracies are just information. People get so hung up on being right or wrong that they lose the ability to share information just in case they are wrong. I'd much rather read about conspiracies than watch commercial TV.
  19. I had this video emailed to me from a friend who is right into all the UFO stuff. What the Russian cosmonaut explains in the video seems consistent with everything I think I know about aliens and UFO's. What do you think about all this stuff?
  20. Does anyone know of any seeds that look similar to mimosa hostillis?
  21. Hi I'm after some pereskiopsis or vanilla planifolia seeds or plants. I have fresh caapi seed or money to trade.
  22. Can plants build up a resistance to mites and aphids? All I do to get rid of the mites and aphids is hit the plants with the hose nozzle set to 'mist'. It's strong enough to knock most of the bugs off without damaging the plant. They usually return the next day so I mist the plants daily until they are gone. Once they have gone completely they don't seem to return to that plant. At the moment I have a nice spidermite infestation on 2 plants (each end) in my greenhouse which isn't affecting any of the others around it. My theory is that plants in nature build up immunities to what makes them sick. The more chemicals we use the less reasons the plant has to build up it's own defences. In my greenhouse I have lots of little critters to help build an ecosystem. Does anyone use Willow Water / Salicylic Acid? I've read it's like aspirin for plants. I've been watering my plants with this a couple of times a fortnight. I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not since I've been watering everything with it. You can buy it from a pharmacist but you need to order it in.
