    "My mum talks to aliens"

Maybe we're being visited from another dimension, which cleverly explains the lack of physical evidence.
  2. Ask away. I was just being a smartarse! Long term? Ummm.. overgrow the government. Non compliance dance. Watch the system collapse as we stop holding it up. All started with a little bit of consciousness expansion. I guess the best any person can do is help themselves help everyone else. If you can detach yourself from feeding the system and still survive and be happy, then that would be a great model for people to follow. Of course be sure to not be a tall poppy like Waco or any other alternative community that decided to detach themselves from willful servitude lest you be martyred as a public example of what happens if you leave the fold. (Of course such events are used as a deterrent to living free, so you decide if you choose to buy into the fear mongering) The love police are great at demonstrating that the only real shackles are in your mind. If you remove those than you can do anything you put your mind to. In each 'standoff' with pretend authority that I've seen, their self assured knowledge that they are free to do as they wish (within bounds) easily bypassed the usual trap of fear mongering we all buy into. Just because a policy enforcer issues orders at you in a menacing tone doesn't mean it is the law and that you need buy into it. So how does common law treat all of this, if all of these new proposals only affect statutes and not common law? I am a complete layman in terms of law and legalese but it's well worth investigating.

    Fire water doco

watertrade, are you implying that industrial waste fluoride is good for you? (I'm serious). Any "truther" that calls somebody stupid is a goddamn fucking idiot. We're meant to use terms like "sheeple" You're insinuating that people who are of the opinion that forced fluoridation (industrial waste) of our water supplies are a bad thing are closed minded enough to simply label people stupid when they disagree, whereas I'm sure anyone that genuinely feels this is a problem would do all they can to educate the doubter, without being hostile so as to have them dismiss them. It seems that calling someone names, (even indirectly calling someone a name caller, that someone being anyone who would doubt fluorides safety and therefore would call you names for disagreeing) is the territory of ego games and not seeking truth. You did say not ALL industrial wastes. Are you including fluoride? I don't see the need for the snide remark about the delusional convictions of fluoride conspiracy theorists that rely on name calling anyone who disagrees to maintain their delusional world view. ...That seems to be what you're implying. P.S. "you are" = "you're" not "your", if we're about indirectly calling people stupid.

    multiverse?

An infinite amount of multiverses in a finite universe. Infinite circumference and infinite complexity of a defined form. With fractals any unique iteration shares an underlying similarity or pattern with the totality that can be recognised at different scales, yet it can never be totally witnessed at once. The bounds of the pattern are defined yet allow infinite expression. It is universal and unique. (2c) ...also some semantics. There can only be one universe otherwise it would not be universal. There may be many multiverses that comprise the universe.

    Wattle We Ban Next?

Just curious, with this legislation is the weight of the plant considered to be the weight of the drug? You'd need to ask the staff first but maybe have a sign in front of a wattle in the bot gardens saying: "If you like to view these beautiful trees in your garden you risk going to jail for.. (such and such an amount of time). If you like to pick flowers then you're well on your way to a narcotics manufacturing charge, oh and by the way this plant contains a psycho-active substance which you've never heard of because it hasn't harmed anyone, yet demands immediate law enforcement at your cost" - maybe make it more concise.
  6. What is self? Awesome little discussion. I've had fun reading it, apart from learning that arrogant douchebag dawkins coined such a useful term.
  7. Just thought I'd clarify my position on doubt/skepticism/disbelief. I like to think of reality as a probability calculation we make, determined by our own balance of faith/doubt in ideas/entities. A cynical person will know it all and expect the worst and prove their cynicism right, an optimistic person would be constantly surprised, and prove their optimism correct. Skepticism may seem to be more objective as it is a position of not committing to any belief, but undecided reality is still a projection. Skepticism and conviction are both a projection, the idea that anything can be true and certain is a fallacy. (IMHO)
  8. To be fair, he didn't say you said any of that. Just called you a corporate shill. Which is pretty mean, like calling someone an idiot I guess.
  9. hehe, I tend to agree with Archaea. Skepticism = doubt. Doubt = disbelief, disbelief is a belief in the nonexistence of a thing/idea. An open mind allows phenomena to be tested without projecting a filter of belief/disbelief a priori. I guess you can call this skepticism, but that implies doubt(disbelief), which colours your experience and is hardly more realistic. Maybe the philosophy of nihilism is the most "realistic" as it is a belief in nothing (no-thing) which having no definition or boundaries is infinite possibility. By not believing anything (that includes not believing in unbelieving, ie: skepticism/doubt, the presumption of fallacy) you leave all options open for seeing/manifesting reality. "Your potential is zero" is an inspirational quote of your infinite potential (zero = infinity), What is reality, the potential or the manifest? You could be aware of the absolute and there would be absolutely nothing to be aware of. In order to have any kind of reference within time/space (creation) we make these [un]conscious assumptions (faith/doubt) that are all "make-believe"; they make real what we believe. It is out of these facts (made manifest through our will) that all other assumptions and questions (make-believe realities) spiral out of. So we question and seek and sometimes find truth. Knowing truth we must also fall for fallacy, it's the game we play. So we automatically invent these delusions. If we are seeking truth we may start to cross reference our personal delusion with other peoples (other aspects of consciousness') delusions and may chance upon an experience of an over-arching (archetypal) unity of all being being revealed via the abstracted higher order symmetry of all the created realities. "we lose ourselves but we find it all." Doubt is a belief, a projection, an assumption. As is faith, and I suppose the testing of what is real is determined by the balance of the two extremes of willful projection (whether conscious or subconscious). In the end, it's all a matter of how convinced you are of your reality.

  11. Kent is a disinfo agent, drugs are baaad mckaaay. And all those amazing insights you experienced while high.. they're bullshit, you were high you moron! @Botanika I think that a mythological/symbolic/religious interpretation of the truth is not a complete distortion, and although it contains constantly similar archetypal motifs, they are as stable as the cosmos itself and do not need constant revision. It's just another approximation using another language, where the same words are used but there are cyphers to be used if you want to get any closer to understanding their meaning and functions. Science is useful for practical and mechanical reasons, it is not the almighty arbiter of truth however, as it seems to be. The sad thing is that the technology as savior myth has drained the west of all it's enchantment, that's why we watch movies like lord of the rings and avatar 'en masse. Whether consciously or not, our myths inform our realities. The profit driven, efficient, production line - that drains our souls to repackage them into imitation happiness - machine is a myth that must be tempered by the always novel, spontaneous freedom and chaos of the infinite imagination, which is untested and unproven and therefore unlimited. It's also 100% fictitious for now.

Canberra uni to ban bottled water

Most people are brain dead zombies that the government can control more easily via dismissive catch phrases like "conspiracy theory" and "crackpot", so of course they don't buy bottled water for the crazy conspiracy reason... being part of the "most people" category. [edit] Whether it is a malicious conspiracy or honest incompetence, our governing bodies are standing by as industry poisons us (for whatever reasons).

Canberra uni to ban bottled water

^^^ Only reason I ever buy bottled water (I usually got other sources for clean water). As for the calcified pineal, maybe it hasn't gone that far, but whatever the mechanism, I believe fluoride does dumb you down. Maybe it's because of this belief that I reckon I now experience clearer thinking. (Better to be deluded by this positive thinking then be oblivious to the existence of toxins in my water and their effect). Pretty simply put, the more toxins we consume the worse we function, it's not at all counter intuitive to think that a toxin like fluoride would fuck up our minds. As for the conspiracy theory side of things; have you seen the world we live in? and you think government is there to protect you from industry?

    Cannabis law reform

Excellent letter! Just a couple spelling and grammar issues. No biggie. gogogadget said it best, they just don't care anyway, you probably won't get your point across. Worth a try I suppose, but really we gotta stop asking for permission and just take it. These people are meant to represent us, the public, not private interests. They are meant to serve us, not private interests. If all of this is not the case then they've failed their duty and deserve to be fired from their job, and it's us who must fire them as they work for us. The only way to do this is to stop paying their wages (including lobbyist "gifts"), and the only way to do this is through global non compliance (it must be global as these private interests are also global), once their source of power is cut off then these omnipotent giants of industry, who we must always ask for permission to live freely will be irrelevant. It's like you see an obstacle, a wall in front of you, you can walk around, or ...

...what is the point of the thread? Is it not relevant to the discussion that institutions which are meant to advance knowledge are using water which limits the mind via calcifying the pineal gland? I mean yipee for limiting bottled water consumption but increased fluoride consumption may well be a side effect. I dunno, I suppose all education is an assembly line of drones to a greater or lesser extent.

Would you say that in the long term it was a beneficial lesson? Would you have known of the very real power of words and beliefs had you not been possessed? Was exorcising this daemon a liberating experience? Do you feel more empowered now that you know? Are you now wiser for it? Have you thought of creating a more benign thoughtform, now that you have the experience of their power? Isn't that what christ is or what totem spirit animals are? Don't we all engage with thoughtforms all the time? Like the fictitious idea of money, that nonetheless has such -almost- absolute control over our lives? Or even the idea of some satanic/reptilian/alien/(whatever imaginary idea) conspiracy, which seems to prove itself via the very belief in it? In visionary states, does one imagine, or witness? Is there a difference? Cuz it's absolutely real at the time, I just don't know how 'objective' reality really is. Interesting story!
  20. I think that creating a law that cannot be enforced (in an all encompassing and "fair" way) and will be selectively enforced against targeted groups (that's us) should be against the law, as should any kind of persecution of minorities, as this never had anything to do with public safety (safe from us maybe). I think Auxin said it best, Hypocrisy should be against the law, especially for politicians. ...non compliance. Now excuse me while I pay for my power and internet bills.

apes evolved into humans by taking magic mushrooms book

Quetzalcoatl was always represented as a white guy with a beard. Like the typical old man patriarchal figure, the beard symbolising knowledge, this teacher must be a stranger considering native Americans are without facial hair, the bringer of knowledge from another place. Aint he another Thoth or Hermes? The archetype of a traveling teacher, a Jesus figure or an intermediary between us and god? A Promethean or Luciferian figure bringing the light. This is interesting, did the Americas come into contact with whites with beards? Or is the myth based on visionary experiences of a commonly held archetype of a bearded patriarchal figure. Were they channeling a greater collective archetype? Then there's the theories that the Nordics are actually an alien race. ...Who knows? I know that the Swedish band Meshuggah are out of this world.
