Wow - excellent work. Do you mind me asking what area you focused on?

I never really gave it too much thought (story of my life), but I saw having children as something I would be more likely to regret not doing than doing. At times my little angels drive me up the wall but the experience as a whole has been hugely rewarding. Enormously. If I have any regrets at all, it's the change in dynamics having children has had on my marriage as my wife and I have adapted to our new roles. Oh, and worrying about your kids when they get sick is a real killer.

your brother in law has a very clean setup there. give him my regards.

nice picking. subs always look so dirty and grubby (i've never found them) compared to cubes. do they deteriorate more quickly than cubes?
-
nice. love the amanitas. That third pic: very interesting! did you find those in Sydney? My first thought was mexicana or liberties.

V. impressive! (is that hbwr in the background?)

My wife bought me "A Field Companion To Australian Fungi" by Bruce Fuhrer several years ago and whilst its a great addition to the library, it seems to only scratch the surface. Are there any other publications that are worth pursuing?

i've put this in the diary, and am looking forward to it. can I bring my wife, and leave her with your fiance and girlfriend?

wow- top photos. I especially like the first one - absolutely perfect (except for the little bug/rock/seed wedged into the second spines from the top in the first frame lol) nothin er... photoshop wouldn't fix.

you don't say whether your friend mixes with tobacco. if so, therein lies the biggest problem imho. ime taking the tobacco out solves 95% of addiction/fiending issues - particularly if you don't smoke cigarettes normally. nicotine gum helps with the withdrawals but beware it's pretty horrible. getting a vaporizer is also a must. i can vouch for vapolution brands... cheap, portable and efficient although the glassware may be a little fragile. the fact that it's not quite as convenient as ripping a bong and mulling up isn't necessarily required are good points that help break old habits.

My San Pedro (Trichocereus Pachanoi purchased from SAB in May 2006) has reached about 6ft and i'd like to prune it by about 3ft. I would like to use the top 30cm of the cutting to grow a new cactus. What's the best tool to cut with? Is now a good time to do it? Do I simply need to leave the cutting to dry out before repotting? Anything else I should know?

it was only 15cm when purchased and was a gift from a friend of mine. @Kenny: Porco Rosso

Just thought i'd say hello and introduce myself. I have a healthy amateur interest in mycology and a budding interest in Cacti and ethnobotanicals. I hope to contribute where I can in the former and expect to be asking a lot of questions regarding the latter (when the FSE fails). cheers crayz

A FOAF has managed to successfully innoc several jars of organic wheat with a home-made, cupboard-stored syringe that is about 12 months old. She is, however, a little concerned that the cased trays are taking forever to pin. Is it probable/possible that the age of the syringe could impact on fruiting ability?

nice work soma! were all those cakes birthed at the same time and only two cakes fruited? does your gnome dunk?
