A bit late to the party but if anyone is after decent quality Reaper seeds feel free to hit me up and I can sprinkle some into an envelope for you. They're from the legitimately ferocious, bubbly, devil-dick looking ones, not the puny supermarket ones.
My partner is one of those rare people who is barely affected by Capsaicin, she put 7 Reapers and a bunch of Habeneros into some tacos one time and I tapped out after a couple of bites (and I'm a bit of a freak with chilli btw) while she causally chowed down three or four without breaking a sweat. It's a great party trick! On 28/08/2021 at 8:30 PM, Cubism said:Is it just me or does anyone else find that the flavour of some of the really hot chilli's have a shittier flavour the hotter they get?
I live for the flavour of Reapers and Habaneros. Good quality Habaneros are the most delicious fruit to my taste. Not as big on the Jolokia/Scorpion variants. I think they have Capsaicin analogues that mess me up and sting my lips plus not much flavour by comparison.

Dood there are heaps of places, i usually buy them off the artists themselves and save a shit tonne of money.
This is a good place to look though, http://www.pbase.com/bkbowden/marblesforsale
Dood those marbles are off their lid, I've showed everyone. So good.
I have a giant one of those decorative glass balls that is like a coral reef and it is glow in the dark and probably UV reactive too.

Nice one, it sounds very lush. After reading the bio on the Souncloud page I realised I have met you before and that we have some friends in common :-)

Probs wont make the next meet guys as there is a party with a jumping castle....you can not compete with a jumping castle!
I raise your jumping castle by a jumping castle with 15-20 burlesque girls in it.

Eurythmy and Animatronix are my picks for ethnowomp/shanti type stuff. Love the Cook is some pretty good psychedelic dub/step action.
Here's a good one to start with by Eurythmy, he's an awesome producer and lovely guy to boot: https://soundcloud.com/eurythmy/eurythmy-electrypnose-further
Animatronix: https://soundcloud.com/animatronix
Love the Cook (I did the cover for this one): https://soundcloud.com/tsunami-audio/sets/tsa017-love-the-cook-corruptions-epI have a track on Shanti Planti for the 'Middle Peace' compilation. We raised a bunch of cash for the children of Palestine with that release

Will certainly have a look next week when things slow down and could probably point you in the direction of a few folks who might be interested/willing to take part in interviews too :-)

I'll believe it when I see it.

I find it hard to imagine a way to portray something that so many regard as supremely sacred in a worse light. If I was given the opportunity to create a movie with this sort of budget you can absolutely bet it would be intended to inspire and uplift people not give average Joe the impression that the substance this movies' plot is based around is on the same level as sniffing glue. </ rant> That however is only my opinion so it probably doesn't count for much in the grand scheme of things.
Edited to be slightly less ranty.

Sorry JJ and CC, I had to rush off right after posting and didn't get near telecommunication equipment until late. We could lock in an expedition between xmas and ny if you're keen.

Sounds like it's every man for them self then. Thunder's suggestion can be the official plan. If anyone is keen for a group field trip today hit me up here in the next hour or two ;-)

It's not looking like the weather situation is going to be favourable, the gorge would be best experienced on a hot sunny day to facilitate swimming and lessen the chances of slipping into the chasm. I'm thinking we should do a vote for relocate vs reschedule.
-
Kureelpa Gorge is at the end of Kureelpa Falls Road. Park and follow the track to the creek and go right. Walk approx 100-200m and you're there. If it's been pizzing down it will probably be best to relocate or reschedule until a sunny day. I shall advise over the course of the next day or so as to the state of the weather up this way.

$5 says its upside down. Problem is that if it is up the wrong way it might not get roots.

Is that a piece of lava rock I spy there? Because of its tendency to retain water, it can cause issues (rot, algae, etc.) with succulents of all types whether it's in the soil as an additive or if used as a top dressing. It's definitely one to watch!
