    Entheongaia 2014 - CANCELLED!!

I hope to make it and do some talks and stuff. Quite a few people I know who went to the first are making an effort to come up again!
  2. Seldom, The problem with Floribunda is that it is variable. I spent a fair bit of time last year trying to look into Victorian candidates and came up with zip. (which obviously does not mean that there are not some out there which could be viable candidates) The real problem is there is very little easy access for Victorians to tryptamine bearing trees. I think what we really need is for people to crack the code of Acacia Mearnsii.
  3. Last Jan when I was up there at Buffallo, everything looked fine. I didn't notice any sign of anyone taking phyllodes or doing any pruning. I noticed some fungas, and lots of thriving trees. So I'm surprised to hear this. In fact, it seemed to me to be shame that the phyllodes would just rot away under the trees and nobody bothering to constructively utilise them! In the Australian ethnobotany community, I would say that the general vibe is one of over-preciousness, zealousness and often worked up about something they often have little first hand knowledge of and often what they do know is just flat out propaganda. Nen has been telling people of obutisfolias slaughtered as far as the eye can see, like the last of the buffalos! I've never seen anything like this whatsoever. There are so many obtusifolias out there and most of them human beings have no way of getting to. All these Acacias, even the micro-endemic species, are doing really well. Only if humans get as industrious and systematic as they did with trees like the Red Cedars or Marbleswod, will those populations ever be compromised. And I very much doubt that will ever happen. I'd much prefer that we are in a situation where anyone who wants to connect with particular plant teachers, were freely able to go out there and pick it themselves without any public disapproval. That would be nice. Julian.
  4. He is a different dude than the hardass dude. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Heilpern Turns out he wrote this book! Rough Deal: Your guide to drug laws (with Steven Bolt). Redfern Legal Centre Publishing, 1998 (2nd edition 2006).
  5. Point is people are all worked up and fearful about these 'laws', as if they are going to get sent to Jail for posessing a plant that contains a schedule one compound. 'Drug' laws are BS and everyone knows it. If you are ever get caught - your judge, your lawyer and the cop that charges you likely breaks the law quite regularly themselves. Simple posession in Australia may not even get you a real conviction in Australia if it is your first time. Honestly, it is not like police are around every corner looking to bust people for Ayahuasca or plant entheogens people here are most interested in. Greg Kasarik told me he went to his local police station and declared he had a freezer full of mushrooms. All that happened is that the head sargaent took him aside and talked to him for an hour and they had a nice discussion about the drug laws. For all the red tape BS we have in Australia (Nanny State Australia is a world leader in red tape BS!) , at least we have a police force who quite often have enough common sense to not fill up the system with victimless crimes.
  6. It shouldn't be taken seriously because it is a big pile of steaming BS! >People do get into legal trouble over this stuff, it happens all the time. Ayahuasca? No they don't! Besides, there are employers who would probably more likely employ you if you had a criminal record for possession of DMT. A criminal record will not hinder your travel. The only country I know which prevents people from traveling with a criminal record is the U.S. and I know people who go there anywhere with a criminal record.
  7. My comments are serious and yet taking the piss. People are so fearful of big brother in this country, I've always found it quite silly how immediately people will default to a fear based position which takes red tape nanny state BS seriously!
  8. message me. I'll send you GPS co-ordinates to a time capsule in a remote location, which contains a whole lot of USB keys containing snapchat login details.

    Diplopterys cabrerana seed

Don Francisco at Sachama near Iquitos got some cuttings on a river boat trip up into Colombia and too the cuttings back to him in Iquitos. He now has a huge orchard of these plants and it is his preferred admixture. And I prefer it to Chackruna myself. Many are reporting (including myself) it is wonderful to take with Syrian Rue, as the rue can bring out its best qualities, while the vine can be a bit smothering.

tony abbott is our new PM!!

I think Australians are too materialistic, too concerned with fiscal matters. Australia has a very low GNH, I never see too many happy people in Australia. In Indonesia, happy people are everywhere for example. If you looked at electorate by electorate, look, it is the same as its always been, the "leafy eastern suburbs" vote in the liberals and so do the conservative rural areas (national votes) The masses are always stupid wherever you go in the world. The Australian public is genius like compared the American public say.
  11. I have 30 lots of 10 seeds to give away, priority given to those who live in Victoria or in temperate climates. Overseas is fine too. Just send me your address. I'll make a post here when they are all gone!

    >Shimbre is a well respected ayahuasca retreat and the shaman is claimed to be one of the best.Shimbre is a well respected ayahuasca retreat and the shaman is claimed to be one of the best. Don't know about that Torsten. Sure, I have met some people who appreciated the time they spent there, but also appreciated they got a free ticket to South America and time there, paid for by Rob. I have also met people who could smell trouble coming with Chimbre. Before Rob came along, Manculuto was not really working with many tourists, the way he worked was very different to the other curanderos. I think one can really appreciate his spirit of innovation, but giving unsupervised Ayahuasca certainly backfired on him big time.

    Acacia phlebophylla research

Mindperformer, I got Spunwhirllin his seeds many years ago, as well as many others, and many other people recently. They were wild harvested. I'm proud of allowing this kind of propagation to occur. Maybe the amount of seeds I collected constitute the total amount of seeds that one or two trees would produce out of many thousands. (btw, they are viable for many decades, if not a hundred years, so I am told) Also, there are very, very few, small Acacias coming up at the moment. They seem to need a fire to really get germinated. In this case I feel that intelligent propagation can only be of benefit to extending the seed bank of this most valuable tree.

    Acacia Phlebophylla DMT

hah, at least Phyllode and I agree on something! I have heard that there are grasses growing at the base of Mount Buffallo that are known to contain beta carbolines. I am told ID is quite tricky. Does anyone know anything about this?

  22. Well, at the time of talking to Rahli, later my friend E found out that his stepdad died at that exact time we were talking to Rahli. I noticed his shift of energy at the time, but didn't understand it, until he mentioned this me later. Rahli is obviously a sensitive guy and picked up on it and obviously felt it to be something personal related to him. There are so many times where I feel some pain or something strange in an interaction, or where there is something off or not quite right - but that's life! And you don't always really know what it is about! I'm going to post some of what E emailed me, he said he lost his login details: "i actually gave him some goodies when we first met, i also shared my food with his kids, and offerred tea leaves. all in all it felt quite a powerful interaction and experience. the only reason i havent been in touch with him since, as i have still been intending to follow up on our kinnection, is that i have had family and life crisis that has been thoroughly consuming.. we then took a very decent amount of our time to sit with him and discuss his families health. my father died whilst we were talking, which i felt move through me and lead to a fairly blunt and forced premature exit on my behalf. totally strange and twisted perception of that occurrence ??? WTF ? please forward my sentiments on my behalf. its a strange world at times. perhaps the sensitivities and vulnerabilities that are brought to light in true and sincere empathic states of relational dialogue such as we shared, can then react out of a reactionary woundedness into fear/paranoia /villanisation/ egoic process as somekind of self sabotage to recieve or open to care and healing from strangers? i dunno but it is reminiscent of some of the more painful relational process im experiencing at the moment where i feel attacked by those whom i have taken time and energy to extend myself out of true care, compassion and sincere involvement in transpersonal healing process."
