i'm glad this "off-topic" about tripstacy came up. i've been meaning to ask a question to a mystery that i've never solved. a few years ago when i was into pills and everything i had these pills that i suppose would be called tripstacy. they weren't classic mdma pills at all. i never found out what they were but i'm looking for opinions. i had the whole, They took longer than clean mdma to kick in. about 35 minutes. there was definately amphetamine in them. grinding teeth. feeling good. that good amphetamine drive. meth or bass feeling. not peaking like mdma. but something was different. i was in a movie cinema when it started to take effect and objects assumed an odd sort of feel. like they were elongating. but not really visualy obvious. more like a feel. then leaving the cinema a friend was driving and we were listening to music and I thought that the cars around were different instruments. hard to explain but it felt like one was the snare one the base drum etc. the whole time feeling a fairly strong amphetamine drive. getting home and listening to music i could shut my eyes and my imagination was really vivid. like my imagination of the song lyrics were coming to life but in a charged amphetamine sort of way. as the hours went on the "trippy" effects got stronger and stronger. me and a friend sat at a park bench in front of the beach for a good couple hours just watching the night sky in the middle of the night. no one was around. looking into the sky the stars were shooting off and exploding like fireworks. everywere had this sureal glow. it must have looked ridiculous to be seen from the outside. we were sitting there and all this magical stuff was happening. it was difficult to sit still so walking along the pitch black sand i heard footsteps and felt people running around. it provocked anxiety but the feel good drive of the amphetamine kept me going. i've never had a noticable mushrooms or lsd experiance so i can't compare but it was like i was tripping but charged on amphetamine. the next day was like nothing i ever experianced before. i felt wrecked from amphetamines but was tripping extremely hard. i got out of bed(didn't sleep a wink, just lyed there spacing) and the walk to the dunny was crazy. the hall way was expanding and shrinking. i felt like i couldn't gett through it then it would expand so wide it was increadible. to cut a long story short the whole morning and most of the afternoon i was tripping hard. everything was rippling like water. i had incredible hallucinations(i knew they were hallucinations, not like datura etc. open and closed eye visuals) i saw witches on broom sticks, lizards having a pool party at my pool, closed my eyes and saw an electric vortex of spinning colour. it was truely wild. but there was no anxiety. it was like the amphetamines were still driving me and i felt alright but tired by that point. anyway thats it. the thing is i never worked out what they were but this is the crazy part. my hands and feet were cold and blue the whole next morning and some of the evening. i wasn't tripping either. it hapened to my friends also. he had taken these a few times. i had 2 whole ones in total. one time he reckoned he had 5 and said it was really fucked. didn't recover for ages. but yeah i never worked out what it was that made our hands and feet blue. thats the mystery. anyone? peace

#2, location,position: thick shade cloth can be used succesfully to block wind. like in coastal areas where there is strong winds. espesially onshore winds carrying a lot of salt. fast winds carrying salt = hectics windburn for your plants (except tolerant species) use stakes to hold up shadecloth. tie shadecloth to the stakes with metal wire (steel fixers wire) or something similar

I've heard of this plant growing wild in australia. While walking through a mild wet land area in sydney near my house i found heaps of this herb but not sure about ID. I'm going to get pics so i'll put em up when i get a chance to take em. Was wondering if anyone knows if this plant does grow in sydney? is it likely? PEace~ M

Vanu, i reckon it was luck. A friend of mine, whom i've now lost contact with as he's moved Over seas recently had ordered coca leaf 2 times in the past and it arrived no worries. the 3rd time he tried he got a letter from Australian quarantine and inspection service saying that "your mail did not meet australian quarantine requirements" i.e the mail arrived with this notice but no coca tea. This was a half Kilo order of powdered, potent coca tea. the mail said that "in the authorised quarantine officers opinion, the items are likely to introduce exotic pests or diseases into australia" So i reckon they've gone something like, "na, organic matter not allowed" and thats it. it looks and smells like green tea and says "andean green tea" on the packet. (though on the quarantine letter it did say coca tea. So they were aware it was coca tea.) But I think they just saw it as prohibited because of potential problems to australian environment etc and didn't look further. Lucky or he could have been in the shit if they tested for narcotics. He apparently used it as a carminative for digestion and only after receiving this letter from quarantine did he look into it and find out that coca tea might be prohibited. which surprised him as the seller is a very well known online company so he never even thought it could have been illegal. The first two leaves(cotyledons) of the P. somn are very thin and long shaped like in hunabs pics. did they have these to start with?

one likely possibility is stunted growth because of wrong sowing time. it's bloody hot where i am(sydney). P. Somn. need cooler, wetter temps to grow. then when there well established the heat is good for them. Also i forget the technical word, photosomething, where a plant flowers depending on the hours of light it recieves. cannabis is one of those plants and so is P.somn. So growing at the wrong time can make mini P. somn plants that are flowering.

It depends wether it's instant or traditional! If the instructions say to just mix with water then it would be in the instant form unless the people that wrote the instructions don't know what there doing. If the Kava root powder is in the "traditional" form. It needs to be strained/squuezed to get the goods out of the fibrous powder and into the water. Not milk or anything like that. I don't know why people use anything but water. You got to take your time with squeezing. being patient to squeeze for quite a while to really get the kavalactones out of the fibre. just keep squeezing the straining cloth. A good cloth to use is peticoat material for the second strain. use something coarser for the first strain like some synthetic material from a fabric shop. Remeber to take your time straining. Thats the most important thing. After you've done it a few times you'll get better and your method you use to get the goods out will get better. after straining you discard the fibrous root. it's cool to drink the very fine grounds left over at the bottom of the bowl or strain them out with peticoat material doubled over. either way is fine. If mixing a large amount of Kava, like alot for a few people or more you will need to mix it all in the water really well then scoop a cup or two into a straining cloth in another bowl. Otherwize if you put all that Kava, like a couple hundred grams, all in one straing cloth, the ball of kava to squeeze will be two big and it will be difficult to squeeze and get the goods out of the root fibre therefore wasting all the gear. IT's ALL IN THE SQUEEZE. Thats how a KAva drink becomes potent. Some people think it's mild. ha tell that to my friends who had kava for the 2nd time last night. 3 glasses full over a couple hours and couldn't walk by the end of it. I had about half that and was heaps stoned. Also, yeah it's all in the squeeze but if the product is not good quality then don't expect much more than a mild buzz. But if it's top gear like Klin Kava then your in for a wonderful treat. It really is a lovely herb that should be respected. PEace M

Does anyone know if it is a disease and what disease it is? i've already removed the really damaged leaves but the other leaves, which are mostly in good condition, still have started getting slightly red tips and red spots. Should i be spraying them or somethin. I just don't know if the leaves were dying because of conditions(like water, sun etc.) or it's because they've got parasites or some sort of infection I just don't know. I need HEEEELP!

thanx heaps for the replys! Yeah I've put them in the shade and there going alot better. Because of the red spots I thought it could be a parasite or something. but maybe it's just because of the sun. I've had em in pretty much full sun an it's been real hot lately. I'll cut of the real damaged leaves as i reckon they wont repair. Thanx again! Peace~

These are the pics. Anyone got any ideas? I got them in the mail about a week ago. There in a Cacti and Succulent potting mix. Watered once every few days(fully drenched then allowed to almost dry out before drenching again) The outside leaves are worrying me. The tips are a fire red colour with heaps of red spots. At the base there are creases and holes that burrow into the flesh. some leaves are starting to shrivel.

got some pics of a vine near my house. The flower looks just like pics of passiflora incarnata i've seen on the net. Anyone know?

oops just saw that this topic was recently covered here On the subject of persian whites though. I got 100g's of them and on a closer look i saw that there not all white?!? some are black. like say 1 in 20 are black!?! I'm thinking this is probably normal though and they are all of the persian white variety. If they were a mixture of persian white and some other variety, are they likely to cross-pollinate when grown? if that were to happen i guess i'd end up with a hybrid(think this is the word) of the persian and the other variety?
