cool man, whats the cactus in the pic on the bottem left. Is it growing some new ribs, looks a like a semi monstrose in that state.

I have heard that T.peru flowers are active and very enjoyable. Just wondering how much truth there is to this and if it is true, what is the best way to dry these flowers??? Edit to add: I have tried drying flowers before and they seem to mold from the inside out when I leave them on a window ledge/

No soap on the cacti! they are clean I take the bucket out before I use soap.

I water mine everyday too with left over shower water they love it! I have re-potted of a few trichs this summer and they have no root rot and heaps of new root growth.

Yes but there are different types of mutants. Like monstrose and semi monstrose. It will be interesting to see how this one turns out.

Bridgesii, spach and my peruvianus grow fast. I have a peruvianoid that is sprouting 6 healthy pups, I gave it a little bit of lime when the growing season started. It depends on how the person cares for the cactus. if the cactus gets treated properly it will grow to its full potential and cacti that are in the ground grow at amazing rates!!! Very interesting thread!

It is a youngin teotz not sure exactly how old. I was told it could be a monstrose, all the other seedlings I received were totally different to this one except for colour. It looks cool, wanna see what everyone here thinks. Is it a monstrose or just a mutant?
