Could a p.viridis grafted to a p.carthagensis survive the Victorian winter?

You are right mycot people like this make all of us look bad and like we will steal some bark for a very old tree to get off our heads, this is not so for most of the community. To the people that took the bark I hope you have learnt your lesson and never do it again!!!

I know of a guy who took some bark off the old madenii at the gardens and he is a complete fuck head, I told him of the damage he was doing to the tree from being an absolute dick head. I second you Mr. Puft anyone who is dump enough to break into the gardens, should be shoot I will glady protect the tree if they setup a nice little cottage for me . Please everyone respect trees without them we would be choking on our poluted air. Love every plant even if its not yours!!!

I have also noticed the difference in TBM's. I have 2 TBM's one has smaller pups than the other one and the spine colouring is different. Either way they are one of the best looking cacti in my collection

Hey ddd got a few from under the soil line and about 5 from the base. I have never seen any cactus have so many pups at the base. I read somewhere in a post by Sina that is was good to give the cacti a bit of lime in the growing season for crazy pupping. Every cactus I gave lime has at least 3 pups. Very happ with the growth this season. My TBM is about 4 years old now. I have trimmed a few pups off this one but now it is climbing to 14 pups in total. at the start of this season it only had 5 pups it has more than doubbled its size!!!

Thanks everyoner for the info. I never would have picked it as being a T.pachnoi . Is this pachnoi rare I havent seen it around. Yeah PD the features of this cactus to me look like a peru too! Hard to tell sometimes. I could see how this pachnoi could be easily mistaken as a peru or macro.
