Melbourne meet round 2- Celebrate summer again!

btw i'm driving down from frankston way so anyone who lives between here and trbg i can give you a lift. Pm me if you want a lift ;)
  2. the dremel tool is going to be our best friend. there are battery operated ones and mains power ones. i have both and both have pros and cons. battery operated is heaps easier to use. it feels more natural in the hand however, it runs out of battery eventually, of course. this is anoying but you do get a good few hours out of it. if you choose this option i recomend getting a genuine dremel if you choose this option because it's built well and the batery life is great. the corded one is better in every way exept its heavier and more awcward to hold unless you have the cable thingy that atatchs to the end of it to give a smaller, more confortable grip. this makes things a lil easier, but you still have a great big cable that is heavy and annoying. personally i prefer the cordless one, when the battery is run out, i know i've spent too long in the shed and its time to pack up. try to get a pack with lots of metal bits in it like this one. they cut realy well unlike stone ones and dont wear down so fast so they keep there shape. they also cut ALOT faster wich means you get stuff done faster and safer because you dont need as much pressure to cut through the wood. chisels are dificult to use because ou need so much pressure to use them. the more pressure your muscles need to exert, the less control they have. they also are very dificult to use across the grain or on the end grain unlike a dremel with a good bit on it. for these reasons chisels are too hard for this young man, ye of little skill... and hand saws and rough files are also a must. you can get your work to roughly the right shape then dremel the wood to get finer details in there then sand it with sand paper to do the final finish. if your starting with large bits of wood jigsaw is another must to get it to a realy rough shape of the final product. any more help just ask

    Mammillaria Hahniana

look at that lil ol ball of fluffy fluff! :D :D
  5. thanks guys. i'm glad you like her. :D Amazonian: i did calve the lips. they were loosely based on my own lips crossed with a black persons lips. perhaps that should be my next challenge, to design an small, easy to clean pipe that is still as smooth as the larger ones. it can be done!
  6. here is my latest creation. i still need to finish her shoes, but more or less finished. her name is Miss Chang A Pipe. she is strictly for changa. she is made from bamboo grown on holy ground. not because i wanted it from that location specifically, but the priest was doing some gardening and cut a heap down and i thought, hey, i could make a pipe outa that her dose has been carefully hollowed out between nodes to become the stem of the pipe. her lips are red gum that has been soaked in food dye to make her lips redder. i hope they dont leach onto the fingers. her eyes are again paua shell. this shell has been polished and shaped in a particular way untill the pupils were the correct shape and size. she is made from bamboo grown on holy ground. not because i wanted it from that location specifically, but the priest was doing some gardening and cut a heap down and i thought, hey, i could make a pipe outa that and she was born hope you like it guys ps i'm sorry about the image size again

The lake that glows in the dark:

i found these tiny half rice grain sized kritters that ooze blue goo up and down the beachs between frankston and seaford and most likely beyond. They were too small to take a pic of with my phone at the time, but still cool. Their rare but they do exist here too. The only prob is i only found them walking home drunk from parties when i was 17 or so, so no one belirvrs me! Hahaha i tried to take one home and keep it alive but, obviously, it died. It would have been about this time too.
  9. hard to say how long it took to make cause i built it in my spare time. But i'd say its only about 12 hours or so all up. Amazonia i got no sectets, other people are welcome to make there own, however, theirs will never be like mine it is quite balanced, however i still have to fine tune his legs as he falls over easily.

    Salvia kills

i loled at this, i almost roflmao ed. Jk Haha (anyone get my lame humour?) anyway, the writer cleaarly doesnt have their facts strait. salvia is a different speices to datura. most salvias are legal, with the exclusion to salvia divinorum. Datura is half legal; that is to say, legal to grow but illegal to prepare as a drug. salvia, from what i'v seen, is rarely marketed as much more then a legal high however i'm sure somee places do market it this way and has a strong possibility it can produce these effects. It's definitly not marketed in australia. Also, datura is almost never sold anywere, even on the net as a legal high because of how dangerous it can be, especially if prepared the wrong way or ingested in anyway. Even tho datura is a halucinagen, i doubt you will get those types of effects. Period. There just ignorant people Giving bad, dangerous info to all the other ignorant people of the world. Saying salvia is the same as datura? How is that not gonna get a kid killed? Hey, my mum grows datura! Lets make a tea! God damit... Had a bad few days, good to vent my frustrations here haha

    Licence to import Aya?

also, just to nit pick, i'm quite confident that niether quarenteen or customs spray a single chemical, however, quarenteen do fumigate, wich is a bit different. Plus the chem they use for fumigation, (diclorvos???) is fkn nasty shit. Definitly not something i want anywere near something i plan to put in my mouth.

    dam pet plants..

i ordered some pet plants a while back and finally got them for christmas! yay! but a lil too late for what i wanted to do with them. http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/102788/210237387-360521795/100X-pet-plant-PET-TREES-Plant-selection-Mobile-Phone-Charm-cell-phone-straps-keyring-handbag-accessories.html i only bought 5 by the way, not 100, anyway.. i wanted to pull out the cactus and put cuttings from my own plant, lets name her sally for now, and then send some away for christmas to the quickest person on the plant trade topic, here but alas, i only recieved them a few days ago so i havent got time to check they will survive and be fully rooted when i ship them out. i guess i not need a reason for shipping them out, even tho christmas is a good reason. oh well... i'll post a thing up when there all healthy

    Salvia salvation needed!

what age and hight are your SD's? i've read the same stuff as psili sausage, but after reading what you'v said, i'm starting to second guess that. i've never let them get bigger then around 3foot high as i keep pinching them to make them bushy. after growing coleus (which as you said, has almost exactly the same growing habits IME) this may bee a big mistake for trying to get it to flower. i have so many questions for you! but i dont wanna flood you with questions just yet. seems you know your shit buddy, shame your not in melbourne! we could have a beer and talk sally n shit hahaha

    Salvia salvation needed!

i agree with all of that Casuarius. None the less, growing in a hot house helps protects the plant from temp and weather extreams like wind and frost.she will tollerate full sun, and will grow a bit faster however they will become light green instead of beautiful deep green and the leaves will be deformed, lumpy, low velvetyness and low salvinorin levels. ( i got only 0.5g of pure needles xtals from 1kg of leaf. They worked but ) Also, wtf? easily setting seed? Mines never flowered let alone seeds let alone viable seeds.i can only assume you have acomplished this. How'd ya do it? :D

    Salvia salvation needed!

i'm telling you guys, even if there pot bound, if they wilt, as long as they hevent been left that way for days and days, givving them a good flood will almost always bring them back

    Salvia salvation needed!

i never sterilize anything when taking cuttings, just snap off a branch an stick it in some saturated loose soil. I tried making mud out of soil and putting sally in there but the soil was too dense and hard to push roots thru
